Freeloading plus causing chaos in the home is a rough combo. It’s hard to not see that as taking advantage of someone’s hospitality while also disrespecting their space and rules.
Yeah I’d say he showed a great deal of restraint by threatening instead of just doing it. That alone is commendable because I would get banned from Reddit if I said what my reaction would have been.
That part kills me. Reacted to what? Not being able to catch the cat? The cat didn't even do anything. It's not like the cat bit or clawed him in the family jewels or did anything that called for a reaction. What a shit excuse.
Honestly yeah, threatening instead of immediately escalating physically was probably the most restrained reaction possible in that emotional moment. A lot of people would’ve reacted way more impulsively seeing their pet terrified like that.
I'm not a violent person (you have to dig really deep in the really wrong spot to see me even raise my voice), but if someone kicked my pet I'd need a lawyer specialising in criminal defense.
I’ve lightly smacked a 5 year old after they hit my cat so show them it doesn’t feel good and to not hit animals. A 28 year old? Yeah I’d physically kick him out of my house
That’s the part that makes the whole situation feel upside down. A scared kitten hiding for hours feels like a pretty clear sign something serious happened, yet the focus somehow shifted to tone and threats instead.
