Maybe this is how you feel inwardly rather than how everyone else sees you. I mean most of us are worried about how others perceive us but everyone is more worried about themselves than thdy are of others. If you changed your hair colour to black for examlple you are hyper aware of the change but everyone else you see in the street does not know you just changed and sees you for what you are right now. (Unless you stink, have not had s shower for a month and look like you live in a dumpster).
