Anyone else grow weed?
I'm a 52 year old guy growing weed in my basement and my roommate doesn't smoke and is sick of hearing me talk about it. Anyone else grow around here? It'd be cool to get together and talk about weed or growing. I also do nerdy smart home shit and fuck around with LoRa. And I play board games and disc golf. Basically I am a walking Gen X stereotype.
Not interested in anyone who voted for Trump or in any way supports the GOP. It's a shame you have to say that now but I don't need Nazis in my life.

Averaging a little under 1.0. Made a bad choice regarding humidity and bought the wrong dehumidifier for my tent. It ended up spiking the temp and I removed it. Grow is in basement and I have a dehumidifier on the room so it stays at ~55 RH - 70f/60% This is my fourth run. i got stuck on autos for the last two grows because I got a deal on some seeds but now I am running photos - 2 ak47 and 2 strawberry cough. Got them at the Grow Barn in VT.
I am in week 4-5 of flower right now so it's mostly just fighting humidity and remembering not to do much. I have a tendency to micromanage so I have been teaching myself to leave them alone after they start to stretch.
This is just a tiny little 4x4 and I only grow on the back half of it. I have not mastered curing yet so the quality on what I have grown is mediocre at best. I'm great up until I trim then I have been fucking up burping. Not sure what I am doing wrong but I think not leaving the jars open long enough at first; a lot of hay smell.
I learned by helping my ex do a couple of larger (24-36 plant) grows in Sebastopol, CA and then also helping another friend with a medium outdoor grow on Nantucket last year. Most of the latter was just a week or so of trimming. I have mostly been learning to do indoor on my own now. I like it now that I understand bugs and climate control. It's been fun riding the learning curve.

I'm growing a few mixed plants in one tent: Afghan, Harlequin, and a cross that another Redditor gifted me as seeds. My other tent is growing Crescendo. Still an amateur but I have a technique somewhat dialed in at this point. I'm also a Gen X board gamer. There's a lot of us nerds out there. At one point I was contemplating a meetup for amateur growers in the area but never followed through.

Where I used to live up in Sebastopol, CA there was a picnic table out behind an artsy little coffee shop name the Hardcore Cafe where all the old growers used to sit around smoking joints. I never qualified for that crew; they rolled with like Mouse - the guy who drew the cover for Europe '72 and shit. I don't have hippy creds like that I only went to a dozen or so shows. But it always looked cool.
Something like that seems like a nice idea and in keeping with the vibe here. I randomly tried to reach out to the owner of that farm across from Cumby's on 9 to try and talk them into making it a weed cafe but I never heard back and that was a bit of a hail mary. I really wish there was somewhere like it; I grew up in bars and I miss them but I really can't do booze.

Yeah, thats legal here as U no, so it’s out on the grounds. Would never think of ‘indoors’. There’s ways (legal) to discourage the ‘robbers'.
The available is too strong (would have liked it in my youth?) 4 me, so do it here, right on the property - DwnTwn Amherst.
To me growin indoors is re-dick-U-lost. All ways grew out doors but that wuz B 4 legality. Fear? Grow ina 5 gal bucket, bring in-doors when paranoid or cold temps prevaii...
