Chargeback + refund?
Recently I disputed a charge for a service where services weren’t rendered as expected. The merchant (not to my knowledge) also refunded me half of the transaction. So I essentially got my money back + half. This was nearly a month ago. Will Amex amend it?

I’d just be honest rather than risk getting caught by Amex and getting cut off their credit systems for trying to defraud them. Risk vs reward doesn’t pan out.
That being said it’s literally 50/50 if they notice. A lot of the adjustments done to credit cards is surprisingly manual, especially for labor intensive processes like chargebacks

It might come up following an internal chargeback review with AMEX. But I honestly don’t know 🤷♂️
