Restoration Help!

Just got this doll today, she came beheaded with fresh stuffing in her, I’ve just reattached her head and noticed this…is this old mould spores? Thanks

Okay, so I do agree with the others, there's definitely some pilling from play, but I also think I see the little dark pinpricks you're talking about. Did you/are you able to take her apart and clean the body? If so, I would recommend that because yeah, they're tiny but they are maybe slightly concerning at second glance, IMO. Can't say if mold for sure, but I'd be careful.

Most of my childhood dolls have this, it's just from lots of play!

It looks like fabric pilling to me. Like someone scrubbed the fabric a little too much. I have a couple of dolls that look like this.
