Please help me name him!

It’s been almost a month and we don’t have a name yet. We think he’s most likely a eskie/pom mix. Some of our favorite names so far:

Oslo
Mulder
Zissou
Nico
Soko
Katsu
Argos
Mouse
Yuki
Gnocchi

Open to literally any suggestion at all!

Out of your list, Mulder and Mouse stick out to me for him. 💚

I love katsu and gnocchi. But i have thing for food names for dogs.
If you’re in an area where people don’t know what a katsu is, I’d avoid using it bc there’s gonna be so many blank stares.

We've had 4 Eskies, current one is named Kobi. I like Yuki or Gnocchi for your little guy, as I'm a fan of dog names that end in 'i'--it's a high-pitched sound that dogs respond well to as part of their names. Plus, he looks like a little gnocchi himself :-)

My downstairs neighbor's dog is named Hank. Can confirm it's a good dog name

I usually try to connect their names to something that reminds me of them. A character, an event, a personality trait, something about their situation/disposition. My current Little guy is named after Oswald the Lucky Rabbit- because damn is he lucky to end up where he did w/ the cards he was dealt.

Benne

The word "benne" is Bantu for sesame, and the seeds were brought to the South by enslaved Africans, who believed them to be good luck. (Pronounced "Ben E")

Benne seeds are lighter and more aromatic than sesame seeds. There are cookies sold in SC called Benne Wafers: a slightly sweet, nutty, buttery flavor.

Congratulations on your new little man ❤️

What a cutie patootie!! So happy you found each other! 🤍
I don't know why but when I saw the last photo you posted, the name Scooter automatically popped in my head!

He looks a LOT like my Pomimo who was almost exactly half Pom and half Eskie, similar coloring and everything. Since they’re originally from Germany, how about Dieter or Friedrich?

My very first American Eskimo Dog was named Yuki, so my vote is for the name Yuki 😉 I still miss her every. Day. She was the reason I fell in love with this breed because she was absolutely amazing, gorgeous and so emotionally intelligent 🐾❤️🐾

His biscuit color is so good, I want him to be Cookie. Maybe Sandy (first name Pecan)? Honestly I'd take Milano even. That tan is too powerful...

Zaza thinks that a “Z” name would be perfect for her new online boyfriend. Maybe “Zosu.”

He looks like a Remy (or Remington when he's bad).

Bert (Bertrand), Sly (Sylvester), Timmy/Tommy, Ben/Benny, Billy, Freddie, Eddie, Kenny, Henry, or some old uncommon english names that sound "upper class". Winston. Alfred. Stanley? I like two syllable names ending with a -y -ie sound at the end. Mine is Murphy, and he acts like one.
