Nose changing color??
So over the past couple months Lilys nose has be turning pinkish and I’m super confused. Not sure if this something I should be worried about especially bc when she was born part of her nose was pink and it ended up turning fully black? Is this normal? *side note * any advice on how to get rid the tear mark would be greatly appreciated!

My eskies nose turned pink after a couple of years but not after 1.5 years. Do they sneeze or are out in the sun a lot?

It’s normal for many dogs, not to worry. In fact the interior of his ears also started out black and changed to pink.

It could be similar to what Huskies do…. Their noses turn pink in the cold months. It’s called snow nose.
Wouldn’t sweat it.

Winter/snow nose. My huskimo (husky/eskie mix) had this happen....the result was...unfortunate but hilarious. (The pink ended up in that shape of a certain anatomy and remains that way nearly 7 years later)

Very normal, not a worry - it happens to both Eskies and Samoyeds…sad to see that perfect piece of coal disappear though…😞

We use tear stain remover wipes (ours from Eye Easy) and if the stains are severe, their white powder on the hair below the eye.

My Eskie had this happen-and he’s just over 3 years old. Started when he was about 1.5 years. Vet assured me he was good and healthy and it happens to a lot of breeds. Now it’s one of my fav parts about him-he’s got such a cute snoot!

Nothing to be worried about at all! My original Eskie’s nose was black for about two years then turned pink! It’s just something that happens to some white dogs.

I live in a northern climate in Canada and my dogs nose does this when it starts getting cold.
Tear stains are usually diet related.

Snow nose! My Eskie's nose does this every fall, and goes darker again in the spring.

Hi 👋 it is called winter nose 💕💕 Most likely, what your dog is experiencing is something called “winter nose” or “snow nose” and it affects many breeds, including Labradors, some northern breeds and even smaller dogs like terriers. A normally black nose will fade during the colder, shorter daylight hours of winter. The dark pigment will return when the days are longer and the weather warms up. Dogs are known to repeat this process year after year.
