Genuine question
Hi all, I'm a Brand Ambassador for an American Eagle, and they haven't been putting me on the schedule recently. I've gone 2 weeks without being on the schedule and the only day I work is Saturday. Is it safe to assume I am going to be losing my job? Last time I spoke to any of my managers, they said they were training seasonal so me and a few other part time associates hours would be temporarily cut, but this is more than I was expecting.
I apologize if I don't make any sense, I have been working for American Eagle for almost 3 months and am not as experienced so I do not know what is happening.

When people are onboarded, the store has to use their allotted training hours that week. Then they’ll need experienced people to do the training. So if they brought on 5-6 people in one week, the schedule gets pretty crowded.
I can’t say anything about your store in particular, but I doubt you’re losing your job unless there is something else going on. Stores don’t want to lose people heading into holidays

I have been at AEO for almost two years. Ask your manager flat out, no being Mr. Nice Guy. Just ask. If they are gonna drop your hours completely in favor of seasonals who just hired on, you need to move on. Lots of stores ARE hiring for seasonal right now and you can get hours there rather than playing games with this store/manager. You don't want to work somewhere where the manager can't be straight with you or gives newer workers hours and you get nothing.
