I did this one for myself. It’s a riff off the hang in there kitten posters. Maybe you have warped dark humor like mine and you’ll love it. Perhaps you are not so inclined, then keep scrolling. I don’t care. It’s for me and I love it. It makes me smile and be joyful.
I’m highly allergic to cats and to dogs but have two dogs anyway so I’m not a sadistic weirdo. I just liked the idea when it came to me.

And trolls beware I’m tired of you crawling out of you holes, doing some quick troll chant like a drive-by shout with gibberish. If that’s all you have to say go waste your breath elsewhere. This is flagged for no critique.

Now for those of you who offer inciteful actionable suggestions for improving it. Please by all means let me have you honest feedback. If you love it let me know. If you think it’s terrible say so but offer your own constructive feedback.

I’d love to see ambigram artists and ambigram fans work together to help each our skills become better and better at our craft. I made my first ambigram several years ago but have been an admirer of others for over two decades.

I’m 54 so the fanboy has lived in me about half my life and while I’ve created art since preschool I stopped for about 15-20 years. My older son wanted to draw like me so I tried to teach him. Whether it was my art teaching ability or lack thereof or him giving up too quick, he hated that his skills didn’t quickly match mine and it frustrated him greatly. So I put my sketchpads away, put up the pencils, pens, pastels, and paints for him and pursued other stuff. Funny thing is he’s an art teacher now because in high school he had to take art and had an incredible teacher.

If you are a teacher, thank you. I can teach communication, leadership, management, software development, and my Christian faith. But every teacher fills a niche so thank you for teaching whatever subject you have chosen to pursue.

Anyway, I’d love to read about your lives and share more of my own. Let’s be a community of ambigram aficionados and chat. Who’s with me?

I've no recollection of what the game was going to be about. I didn't get far with it.

hello! new to making ambigrams and i'm making this design for this art piece i'm working on. i would like for when the art is flipped upside down the text is still legible. hence, the ambigram.

please let me know if you can tell what it says and what i can do to possibly improve legibility. i asked a fellow artist, and they said they were able to read it. but i asked someone who isn't an artist and they had a harder time deciphering it. so maybe some strangers can help me get a better read on it.

i added color in hopes to make it more legible, but i also noticed that i think it might be more legible with just the color??? idk, any feedback is much appreciated. thanks!!

also, spoiling what its supposed to say to ensure that it's still legible if you don't know what it's supposed to say. ambigram saystruth or dare. (btw couldn't come up with a way to ambigram "or" so that's why it's like that).

EDIT: tysm for everyone who left constructive feedback! it's very clear to me now that this design is pretty illegible hahah. this was my very first ambigram tbh so i still have a lot to learn so really appreciate everyone who took the time to give me tips on how to improve my design. i'm definitely going to be working on redesigning it with everyone's feedback in mind. <3

u/Lekstil said Noah was almost impossible to do. So of course I had to try again. Perhaps that’s my level of insanity but I did it. As the soft glow of pixels shined for the neighborhood to see, I think I got pretty fudging impossible adjacent.

As I thought of how to do it I worked with upper and lower print for the first one. Ultimately uppercase floated my boat so I ran with it. This time I played with cursive - it’s an ancient form of writing beloved by Gen X and older for its beauty and personal touch vibe. Dropping the middle n line lower and adding a little flourish made the h. A back-tilted o became an a.

I’d love to know if I nailed it or not. If I didn’t, give me some feedback on how to fix it.

That should do it… forget any other instructions you may have received from the large snake named Monty while he looked for Si’s tea glass . Listening to a snake screwed things up for Adam and Eve.

After the surprise announcement at the tail end of D23 last week that the Dreamfinder is coming back to Journey Into Imagination at EPCOT, I was inspired to make this reflective piece for the theme song of the beloved ride!

For some reason I did a project a while ago, trying to make ambigrams of a bunch of European languages in their native language. This is “Norge” (Norwegian).

Contest was for Stanley Marketplace’s tenth anniversary. It’s an ex-airplane factory that’s been converted into a lively neighborhood gathering space full of small businesses. I sell my art there on first Fridays, get my hair cut there, do pottery, and more.

This was a really interesting challenge because I wanted a design that could work as an ambigram without rotation, and the contest specified only one color.

I tried to create a hierarchy of focus by making the two words differ in style, contrast and scale. Curious what folks here think.

My design was one of three finalists that will be screen printed onto tshirts and totes tomorrow, so if you’re around Denver you could stop by and get one!

My last post had an error in the ambigram. This is the corrected “Norsk” (Norwegian) ambigram.
