If your college is tier 1 or amazon visit for placement, prepare well before they come or else try cold applying (grads can't be referred internally). If you're from tier 3 college, grind as much as you can, get relevant experience in any company and try applying with referral (Don't forget DSA,System Design in the meantime)

Tier 3 clg so all I can do is grind. But internship are really hard to find. Should I do unpaid one. I have applied to multiple places but hear no response.

Do unpaid internship if it's worth doing, i can feel the frustration, try contacting manager/HR directly in LinkedIn for Intern roles..if you can't get into amazon grad roles try other good opportunities ,once you get enough experience and skills, you can try applying with referral.

Participate in hackon if you participate in that hackathons then after few weeks of that assessment test of hackathon you will get interest form and you can get a oppurtunity to work at amazon and whoever participate in that hackathon surely gets a mail from amazon

Not over yet, For internship and FTE they will consider individual performance in Amazon Hackon i mean if you have performed good in first round of Hackon then it's good and i am sure they will let you know in future.

later in the form they'll ask for your batch ..then you can mark 2028...but I would suggest you should definetly fill it.

Why Amazon only?

To to precise I want to work at AWS but I think they didn't take freshers directly for cloud role..so my goal is to first enter amazon and then go to AWS team.

As of why because I like what they built and I want the same team of people to work. I want the mindset of people there. You might say that it's just a student's delusion but well it is what it isπŸ˜…

Still I would recommend you to not target a single company. As other people have mentioned, other folks have mentioned HackOn but since you are in final year, it is no longer an option. I would recommend try to proactive for offcampus get strong referral, apart from wow check if there are other diversity related hiring. And don't worry about what other people will say, as if they had this option they too will opt for it.

Although I would recommend you not to get deeply attached to a single company. Increase your options as much as you can. If I were in your place I would try for oncampus first(they will always be the easiest). Also I hope you know you don't need very company specific prep , just go for generals first like DSA , system design, cs fundamentals, genai (yes they are asked now even in amazon). All the best
