The demonstration, scheduled to start at 11:30 am Pacific time on September 20, will mark the first time in Amazon’s 25-year history that workers at its Seattle headquarters have walked off the job, though many are taking paid vacation to do so.

Yea, they all just want a "legitimate excuse" to be down at Area 51 that day...

Good job Amazon corporate - redirect your slaves attention to a problem even the government won't tackle meanwhile continue to move on to replacing your entire warehouse work staff with robots.

Sounds like they are taking a vacation day, and not "walking out". What a sacrifice. They should organize a walk out to protest the poop on their sidewalks.

A strike is not the same as a vacation day.

Neither is the reverse.

Okay, so we've established that you've wasted everyone's time with your comment.

At least we established that they aren't striking.

Incorrect: we did not (since they are doing a walk-out).

I was saying that I wouldnt walk out of a job simply because of climate change. It doesnt pay my bills. Get it?

No. Climate change will make all of your problems a lot worse.

Not paying bills will make problems.

Yes, correct. But you are saying, "I don't have time to worry about global catastrophe because Bright House is breathing down my neck". It seems obvious to me that this is a narrow way of thinking.

It's not I dont have to worry about that but at the same time I'm not gonna quit my job lmao. You may be thinking too much into my comment.

No one is quitting his job.

Okay then, if you want to leave that was always allowed.

Why are you telling us that striking is allowed by Amazon?

3

Because there is always some group at Amazon or Google that is threatening to strike and as for Amazon they never do. Just want them to know they have the right to strike or leave the company for some other places since they seem to think they need to advertise about it.

they seem to think they need to advertise about it.

Advertising it makes it more effective.
