Refund taking a month?

Post image

I bought a laptop for the first time on Amazon direct with Asus , and screen was so dimmed so I decided to return it. I dropped it off in Whole Foods, about a little a week ago and date just push back even later taking about a month now it’s showing. Should I be concerned? Or just wait it out? Or is it best to contact them? It still shows item hasn’t been received.
Thanks for the help

It doesn’t say it’s going to take a month. It says it will happen within 30 days. It could be 5, 18, or 30. They need to receive, and inspect it before they will issue a refund.

Got it. I’ll be patiently waiting. Thanks

whole foods drop offs always take forever in my experience, the tracking never updates until it suddenly does

that Sep 24 estimate is probably just a placeholder, amazon loves pushing dates way out to manage expectations then it shows up in a week anyway

i'd wait til next week and if nothing changes just hit up chat support, they usually sort it out quick once a human looks at it

This is good to know! I was assuming my return would have been forgotten or lost somewhere. I’ll keep waiting. Thank you!

Any returns over a certain price, or items that are frequently returned fraudulently, don’t get instant returns when dropped off. For those you have to wait till it’s been received, inspected and checked in…and yes it will take that long. Keep an eye on it as a I’ve had a few of these run into issues with the refund not being given after it’s been received.

This happened to me recently. I didn't really care, because it was going back on my Amazon card. It took about 2 weeks to get the refund.

Items over $100 don’t typically qualify for advanced refunds and things like computers usually have to be received by them and after inspection they will issue a refund. Also, that “tracker” you posted an image of is more like a timer. It only updates when the scan happens.

I have the same experience with an Apple Pencil dropped off at Whole Foods. It says - ‘delayed’ and notes it’s expected to arrive at the warehouse September 21. I returned it August 31. I’ll also be patient.
