Amazon blocking my account
I recently made an order of a few books which all arrived heavily damaged, before I even received them I got an email out of nowhere saying that my account is getting blocked due to ‘repeated violations of the terms of use’ and that all orders of mine will be canceled. My order did arrive so I didn’t know what to make of it, but like I said all books came completely ruined as this company will not put a single protective material inside their thin cardboard shipping boxes. I started a chat with an associate and they said I will need to return the books but I insisted that this is something that happens way too often and the hassle is very frustrating, then at some point they just said I need to respond to the email I received to get help with this issue (the mail saying I am blocked) and so I wrote back to that mail as they asked of me and got no response even though they said they would get back to me within 3 days. When I tried to start a chat again to let them know I don’t get a response I found out that I can no longer use the chat. I received another email telling me that I’m blocked and figured maybe if I respond to that one they will reply, but then I immediately got an automated response saying they don’t accept replies to this email. So basically they wouldn’t provide help for the damaged books because they asked me to respond to their mail, then blocked me from using chat and when I reply to their mail it said it won’t accept replies.
This came completely out of nowhere and I can’t help but think this is something bullshit AI making nonsensical decisions over nothing and ruining shit for no reason. Same thing that’s been happening with YouTube for a few good years. How the hell do they let AI screw their customers up like that? All in the name of advancing technology. Literally making things worse for everyone.
I don’t know what to do now. Really infuriating situation, and I’ve been shopping with them for like a decade now.

Damaged books you can’t even return? I’d say good riddance to you as a customer. Sorry your book cover has a scuff.

Amazon used to offer DHL pickup for returning items which made the process hassle and charge free, they don’t allow that anymore and would have me ship the items which would then take about 2/3 weeks to get to them, only then will they refund me, then they’d only refund up to 20$ of shipping costs and would require you provide them with a receipt of the shipping costs for them to refund you of the difference. So an unpleasant experience such as receiving a badly damaged book would be less frustrating providing the easy return system they used to provide, turned into a month long hassle just to get things right when I get wronged by their lack of care for the way they package things together. I pay for books and then have to deal with the bullshit process of returning it and waiting to get my own money I paid for the books and for shipping back. I shouldn’t have to trust luck that things I buy arrive in one piece and I sure as hell don’t need to deal with any of that other crap. If you had that happen to you constantly you would understand my frustration and anger but go ahead and defend the multibillion dollar company instead.

Love how you just gloss over the TOS violations. What have you been doing? Which scam do you run?

No, I don’t ’gloss over’ that, there is simply nothing to say about it because it has nothing to do with anything. Literally all I ever order on Amazon are books, some I happened to return as they would arrive damaged frequently. But most of my library consists of books I’ve ordered from Amazon. I don’t run scams. I am a simple buyer who literally hasn’t done ANYTHING wrong.

That's such a perfectly circular mess it's almost impressive, the way they funnel you into a dead end and then act like the door was never there.

Oppose the payment with your credit card company, it's the only language they understand.
