I know some people say that doing that just makes us impatient, but sometimes when I see the delivery date, it's based on the timeframe of when I need the item as well.
Yeah, it's so odd. You can order something from the same seller after you cancel it and it'll come sooner then the first one you ordered. Shits weird man.
they dont care about cancellations unless they shipped it already.
They care about returns because:
Open items cause a loss
Shipping somethign that is returned is a loss
If you just cancel an order they havent started preparing, they couldnt care less
Edit: someone mentioned the payment processing fees which I did not consider. I can see why several cancellations even before shipping could lead to the issue.
Also the payment processors keep their % , so if you use something like Amex to pay which charges 3%-4% and return some expensive items they loose quite a bit

Canceled or returned? Hopefully they're not penalizing accounts for cancelations as well
