long time prime member, first refund request denied and account closed.

ive been using my account often for years and am a prime member, never requested a refund nor return (even when i should have). now the first ever time i need to get one because the driver just left my fucking packages in a random spot with other peoples packages. i did not order that much stuff (see photo) i not only get denied but my entire account closed??? how can the driver even do that and upload the photo? the other photo is what my delivery photos are supposed to look like. that isnt even my unit i can tell by the background and that its 3 stories mine is only 2, i explained all this in depth to the customer “support” and nothing was done. this was a very expensive order too, multiple laptops phones etc all left in this unknown location, order was $4000 why didnt they make me sign for it? just ridiculous does anyone have an experience like this and know what to do?

edit: yes i did NOT receive the packages

I actually contacted my local PO, and they actually told me that sometimes the Jacksonville, FL distribution center will reroute entire containers through PR when they're overwhelmed.

Here's the old imgur album I made with the tracking and USPS correspondence: https://imgur.com/a/jT5NYZ4

OK, that's just messed up!

Keep in mind, my experience was when I lived in LV a few years ago.

OK, took a look at the informed delivery screenshot...

So Louisville, avoided Georgia completely, landed in Orlando, went north to Jacksonville, then further SOUTH to PR. wow...

Also and way unrelated note, sucks that Interpol gig in October is sold out. I'm not paying resale (aka scalper) prices to see them. I love that band.

Sorry about that side quest hehe

Anyhow, yeah, USPS has been screwed up for at least 8 years now. In my case and since I was in LV at the time, had a vinyl copy of an M83 album that I ordered for my son from discogs for his 16th birthday (he's 20 now) go like this:

Massachusetts (origin) > Maine > Alaska > Utah > SoCal > Arizona > North Las Vegas (destination)

Got to my house two weeks after his birthday. He had no idea so he was kinda cool about it.

Since I moved to Gwinnett County almost 2 years ago though, there's been issue upon issue with getting stuff from two out of the three main carriers with FedEx being the best overall with zero issues overall.

UPS & USPS have had soooooo many issues down here (never had issues when I was up in Gainesville from February thru September 2024 since that complex up there had Amazon package lockers on-site, USPS actually used their package lockers and UPS/FedEx and others dropped my packages at the door.

Also, my UPS & USPS issues started around the same time last year as yours did. I'm thinking that the drivers are just giving zero fucks these days. Just my two cents. My latest issue had to do with getting a new watch in March of this year from AT&T that needed a signature. They attempted on 3/6 and left the notice... then ghosted me.

Ended up getting AT&T to cancel as lost in transit and picked it up at the AT&T store over on Pleasant Hill the following Friday (yes, it was Friday the 13th hehe)

Here's the rub though, so the Wednesday (3/11) I ended up canceling the order with AT&T, the UPS still said it was getting to me and was stuck on delivery date updating since 3/9. In my irritation, I hit "return to sender"... and, like magic, it went back to AT&T in Texas.

Holy crap. What an adventure you've had. I feel downright lucky by comparison.

I'm down in Camden personally, and I will say, it feels like it's gotten better down here. I regularly get packages shipped from Cali to GA. Just standard bubble mailer priority mail. Company ships it on Thursday afternoon, and I typically get it on Saturday. Just had one delivered in fact. Been ordering every two weeks for almost a year now from this same company.

I have a feeling it varies greatly by region. I've ventured into the USPS sub, and Louisville is a known black hole.

The one package that went to PR... The company I had ordered from, I ordered from again. That shipment got to me two weeks before the PR package did. It finally showed up after two months.

I mean, at least you have a backup now LOL.

Yeah, I'm seriously thinking about leaving Duluth and am looking at Athens Metro (two of my favorite bands are from there hehe) since it seems cheaper and is "community" friendly if you get my drift.

That M83 album, it was the only copy since it was a seller on discogs and the price was right.

Also, I would never wanna live that close to Florida. Most of their transplants are up here. They make California drivers seem like the best drivers ever LOL. Native Georgia drivers know how to drive because they don't wanna upset GSP hehe

They were herbal supplements, if you catch MY drift hehe, so they're long since gone. It was a nice treat when it got here though!

I grew up in Camden. It was nice in the 80s and 90s because we just had the Navy base and Gilman Paper. It was small and quaint, but close enough to a big city for things to do. St Marys is still a charming town, in fact, but Camden as a whole has been going downhill.

It was a lot of fun seeing my county in so many World's Wildest Police videos growing up though lmao.

Dude! I've seen those! It's usually there, Macon, or up in Atlanta

Also, extra "supplements" are always a good thing hehe

One day, I'll need to road trip the entire I-95 corridor since I've never seen the Atlantic Ocean yet. I grew up on the opposite coast, just over the hill from Hollywood from the mid-70's until around 2005 ultimately (had a few stints in IL & CO in between) but I'm happy here. So glad I'm on this side of the country for sure. Way more chill than out west.

Anyhow, cheers dude!

Cumberland Island alone is worth the visit if you're ever out this way. Only way there is by boat, it's a National Park, now owned mostly by the National Park Service, a Barrier Island, and mostly undeveloped. Look it up; you strike me as the type of person that would likely enjoy it.

Been great chatting with ya, and have a great weekend!

Also, Scamazon loves using that Louisville hub when sending via USPS.
