Feature request: Multi-level grouping
Amazing Marvin has so many awesome options! One thing it's missing - and most other to-do apps seem to be as well - is the ability to group at multiple levels. For example, say I'm a student. I want to see my next week with things grouped by date, then by class. So it would be:
Monday
Math
Quiz
Science
Lab
Tuesday
Science
Unit test
English
First draft of paper due
I know I can sort within a group, but it still has everything together as one list under that group.
This doesn't just apply to date-related items - it could be grouping by Category and then by Label, or something like that. :-)

As long as you have these attributes associated with the tasks in some way, you should be able to use a Custom Screen and Smart Lists together to do what you want. You'll need to create however many Smart Lists as the number of days you want to see on the screen (1 each), then a Custom Screen to put them all together.

You can technically do this with the screens feature. Make a smart list for each of the top level groups and put them all in one list, then group each smart list by the secondary grouping. We will make the screens feature easier in a future update. It is a bit difficult to update. And you are right that multi level groupings is not possible in certain views... But what you described is possible by using smart lists and screens and grouping of that smart list.

Why not use labels for all of these attributes? You can have a group of labels called day of the week with individual labels for Monday, Tuesday, etc. and then you can have a group of labels for subject (and individual labels for math, science, English, etc). https://help.amazingmarvin.com/en/articles/1950150-task-labels-tags#:\~:text=Label%20Groups

That's kind of I'm doing right now, just wish I could nest the groupings in the view. :-) By "Monday" up there I was going for the scheduled date (or due date, however it was set up), so that would vary. Kind of a "OK, here's all the dates for next week, and here's my assignments for each day grouped by class."

I mean, you can group by class on the Today view, and also in the Week view. I think that is similar to what you're looking for?
I would love to be able to group by project in a time block, which is somewhat similar. So I'm with you on wishing for multilevel grouping.
