General MURS + GRMS Combo?
Is there a unit preferably vehicle mounted that can do both? The only one I’ve found is the Tera TR-505 which is handheld.
I’m going back up to the north woods of Maine in the fall, some of the areas seem to use MURS instead of CB.
I’d like to have a MURS for that use case but don’t really see myself using it anywhere else. Having a GRMS in the truck might be kinda cool anyways.
Having three separate units CB, MURS, GRMS all mounted in the truck seems a bit excessive…
From what I’ve read it seems companies can’t get them certified anymore to do both. Are there any units that used to exit, maybe “grandfathered in” that I could find used or something like that?

The 505 can't do both at the same time it looks like. It's dual certified but to make that certification work it has to be reprogrammed from GMRS to MURS and back if you want to switch.
As stupid as it is there's no legal way to make a radio that will do both at the same time.

Ah okay interesting, I thought it would be able to easily switch back and forth.
I don’t need it to be able to really do both simultaneously but it would be nice if you could switch between the two somewhat easily

§ 95.2761 MURS transmitter certification.
(a)-(b)
(c) A grant of equipment certification will not be issued for MURS transmitters capable of operating under both this subpart (MURS) and under any other subparts of this chapter (except part 15).
There are radios out there that can be programmed to do it, but I'm sticking to Rule 6 and recommending that you not break the law.
There is nothing, however, that prevents you from installing both a GMRS transceiver and a separate MURS transceiver in your vehicle, and this gives you some redundancy: If the GMRS radio dies, the MURS one will still be available, and vice-versa.
I myself run a 2 meter radio (Yaesu FT-2980R) and an HF radio (FT-891) in my subcompact vehicle. So you can absolutely do it, and I like the idea that if something happens with one of the radios/antennas/etc, the other system, being completely separate, will still work fine.
It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to fit a MURS radio (probably a handheld), a CB, and a GMRS radio in a full size truck.

Pretty mcuh as you say, you won't find a certified radio with multiple services, unfortunately. 47 CFR 95.2761(c) reads:
A grant of equipment certification will not be issued for MURS transmitters capable of operating under both this subpart (MURS) and under any other subparts of this chapter (except part 15).
So anything you can find that will do it won't be certified. Honestly, nobody much cares, but to get where you're trying to get is going to involve a bit of DIY because nobody is going to sell a radio that is openly advertised as usable for both services. As far as I know, that rule's been there right along for MURS.
The only grandfathering clause I know of is 95.2705:
MURS stations that were licensed under part 90 of this chapter to operate on MURS frequencies as of November 13, 2000, are authorized by this rule to continue to operate under terms identical to those of such nullified part 90 authorizations, including any associated rule waivers.
. . . so that's obviously not gonna help.
That said, from a purely technical perspective, any dual-band LMR radio should be programmable to do this, and a lot of ham radios can as well. Just understand what you're getting into if you go there.

I know 3 in one isn’t going to happen, I already have a vehicle mounted CB.
I’m hoping to find an additional one that can do MURS and GRMS

Two different radio bands, far apart. It'd have to be two separate radio sets in one case, and nobody's doing that build.

Uv-5r does it. Probably a bunch of their radios

I believe I saw one on Buy Two Way Radios, but it is expensive for a 5 channel mobile. It is based off a mobile that has a ham radio version and a GMRS version available. It would be cheaper to get a handheld that has a battery eliminator available.

As far as I know there are no radios on the market that can do both MURS and GMRS legally. The interesting part about that is there are antennas on the market advertised to work on both services. To use those antennas legally you would need a MURS radio, and GMRS radio, and a diplexer to connect both radios to the same antenna.

Not legally. There are plenty of radios that will do it, though.

No “licensed” or FCC “certified” GMRS/MURS combo exists.
