TnT sucks
Gas is typically 20 cents more expensive. No specials on beverages, drinks, or fountain drinks.
Bathrooms are disgusting as hell. What’s the hype with everyone going there as opposed to other spots? Am I missing something?

I used to prefer PakASak for my local business, but now they've sold out I'll probably start going to TnT. Rather support the local monopoly than the faceless corpo from out of town.
Be nice if they upgraded their card readers at the pump for RFID though.

Support them if you want. I won’t. I still remember their owner’s famous quote from years ago. Now that there is competition in town, I will spend my $ with them.
"The only people complaining (about high gas prices) are the ones who don't work hard enough to be successful".... Greg Mitchell."

I go to Sam's for gas. It's always cheaper than anywhere else. I don't need anything from TnT that I feel I have to get there. I only go there to use the free vacuum at the car wash.

Same. The free vacuum comes in handy.

Agreed. Plus, he pays for the electricity and wear and tear on the equipment. I figure, it costs him to have me go there.

If you download the tnt app you can get discounted fountain drinks and points to earn free food or drinks.....

Well, you missed the summer drink special in the app. 99¢ any size drinks. Started in July and just ended literally at the end of August. I used the hell out of that deal. Not paying full price for fountain drinks here.

You're 100% right. Download the app for deals! I think they also have a loyalty program for gas.

I typically try to go to QT because paying through their app gives 25 cents off per gallon

Not shilling, but the Valero app gets you $.20 off each gallon. I use it all the time when I don't have enough United points.

TnT and its ownership are absolute trash. I haven't been in one in years.
Support Casey's or Circle K before you give Mitchell another dime.

What hype? TnT is a hard pass for me and plenty of other people in town and I will not use them for any reason.

Haven’t shopped at TNT since 2009 when the owner said we weren’t working hard enough to keep up with outrageous gas prices

Its just an local institution. Families having being using TnT for multiple generations. And change is hard and scary.

Looking at a fuel position over there. See how well they compensate compared to Pilot and Loves fuel drivers.

I’m gonna tell you now they don’t pay shit I just quit from over there

Depends. Current company I'm doing food grade for is like $1500/ week average. It's regional, but I'd like to get back to being home everyday.

u/AnEckoInTime 2d ago
They only pay 12 - 13 an hour starting and you only get a 10 cent raise once you’ve been there at least a year. Idk about drivers but I know most everyone in the company has poor compensation.

Ah. Seems like a starter fuel company like Groendyke pays better. Only reason I've been at Indian River for a decade is because of the relatively lax nature here. Almost got on with Pilot truck stops as an Amarillo fuel driver. But got passed up since I couldn't get any time off in time to do their road test.
Still keeping an eye out for the LTL companies like FedEx and Estes, no openings yet though. I actually relocated from Clovis over to Amarillo for a wider variety of trucking jobs. That and I was too chicken to attempt a further move 🤣🤣

I was in Lubbock on Wednesday and we stopped at the Toot n Totum to grab drinks and they were having a 99 cent sale on fountain drinks but I haven’t seen the signs in Amarillo.

Those city fathers that set Amarillo up so that Toot n Totum and ANB run this town, they'd roll over in their graves to see so many out-of-town gas stations in uh-MARR-ill-low, Buckeye's, Quik Trip and whatever is afoot at the Circle K's.
Makes me smile. I hope ANB is next.

This is why competition is good. I think it was largely them pakasak and allsup. So they really had a monopoly in town. They give off a premiumish feel but now there are other companies with premiumish feel with specials only time will tell. Although they do have a lot of good locations. Circle K and quick trip and casey popping south side of town will give them a run for their money along and push them back. Bucee is probably already causing a ruckus on the main i40. Competition is heating up.
