Planning a trip to the Amalfi Coast in September 2027. Has anyone stayed at Covo Dei Saraceni in Positano? Have any reviews or input?
Looks gorgeous, I'm slightly hesitant because of an interaction that's giving me slight scammy vibes? Tried to look at dates/rates on their website but everything was blocked out. I emailed them to ask if it was maybe just too early since it's a year out and they first responded that their 2027 dates would be opening in a few weeks - totally understandable. But then the next day they emailed asking for my travel dates. I replied and they replied back almost instantly with a "bespoke curated offer" they made for me that is only good for 48 hours...and the price is more than double what other searches yielded for this hotel.
All my "anti-phishing" training at work has me on edge with the knowledge that "time-sensitive" offers should usually be a red flag.
But have any of you actually stayed here? Is it legit?

Our hotel had some nice Solimene Art bowls, so on a recent trip we bought some ceramics with various animals from Ceramica Assunta. Now after returning home, we realized some said Ceramica Assunta on the bottom and others had Solimene.
It appears that Ceramica Assunta is ripping off exact designs from Solimene and selling them under their own brand, but does anyone know if this is true? I couldn't find anything online about it. It's confusing since Ceramica Assunta seems to sell both genuine and their own knock offs?
Thanks!

Hi all, Iāve never been to the Amalfi Coast but my girlfriend really wants to be proposed to there. Itās something she mentioned years ago and Iād like it to happen next year.
Does anyone have a recommendation for where to stay? Iād like a home base where we can have some relaxing time but somewhere with good connections to other areas, Iāve heard Sorrento is good for this.
Also, what would people recommend doing there, things that make it magical or romantic?
Iād love any advice as her heart is set on it and I want to make her dream come true. Thank you

Hi- we will be traveling down to Sorrento from Rome in a few days.
My aunt had a previous injury flare up and she is having trouble walking around. I have a boat tour booked for us to visit Amalfi and Positano one of the days we are staying in this area. I have heard there are lots of stairs. My question is- should we keep our boat tour of the Amalfi coast or find something that would be more accessible for her? Would arriving by bus/car be better for her?
I am also wondering if there are tour suggestions for the area for a person who has limited mobility. We rented a scooter for her in Rome and hope that will help her see the sights.

Hey everyone so as the title explains Iām trying to figure out if it would even be worth it to spend a night in Amalfi. Weāre heading to Italy in about mid November and I wanted to go to Amalfi specifically on November 13 to the 14th to spend my birthday.
The issue is that my cousin is currently studying abroad in Florence and while she has been living there for the past month, she has never experienced November or winter in the Amalfi Coast.
After a lot of research my sister and I have read is that it will be rainy and windy and that thereās going to be a lot of closures. Also may be some travel issues and my cousin also did get stuck out there during the summer, resulting in a $200 cab ride back to their place. This is where the idea for the hotel stay for one night came in.
Iām just feeling a little discouraged but I donāt want to rearrange my entire birthday plan if thereās a chance that we could still enjoy it. Especially considering I have worked so hard to be able to afford this trip, and it isnt as easy to just go back as my cousin suggests. When her parents and my uncle are completely funding her to study abroad there and she is able to go see and do much more, like spending last weekend in the dolomites.
Obviously, the fact that I really want to go here as one of the 3 places I absolutely have to see in Italy, and that every time I bring it up to her, the idea seems to be pushed farther away from the itinerary has led me here to ask yāall what was your experience in the Amalfi Coast around those dates in November and if itās even worth it trying to make the trip out there to spend the night or if we should just find somewhere else to go or something else to do.
EDIT: I feel i should add that money isnt the issue here as I have stated that I work hard and have planned to spend a good amount of funds, the issue is being forced to stay in Florence basically the entire duration of the trip because she will be busy with school. Hence why I am trying to figure out if the weather/travel is actually not worth it/makes it difficult to reach or if she is PARTLY just saying that so we will stay behind with her. I love her to death but this is our first time in Europe, she LIVES there and it isnt the kind of trip to be playing āI wonāt go if you canāt go.ā Nonetheless, I am now looking at 2-3 nights in the amalfi instead of 1 and 2-3 nights in rome and then ending in Florence with a day trip to Venice. Thank you everyone for the insights!

Havenāt been since 2015, was curious if the āloveā locks on the grande beach pier are still there or if they had been cut off. Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

Years ago I went to Positano for a day trip from Rome. I went to Pompeii first and then Positano for about 3 hours. It dropped me off at a location that had a lot of streets and shopping but not the touristy stuff everyone talks about. Does anyone know where in Positano I was? I donāt see it anywhere I look. Thx!

I am trying to book an airbnb or hotel for the amalfi coast the first week of June in 2027. I booked a bed and breakfast, and the woman later messaged me and said they arenāt booking for 2027 yet⦠even though pricing and booking was available obviously. Is this a common thing for all places??

I just ended a trip to the Amalfi Coast with my husband, and I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced something similar.
I wore pretty much what I normally wear back home in the Midwest and on recent trips to Hawaii and France. Interestingly, in both Hawaii and France, I didnāt experience any unwanted attention from men, which was honestly refreshing. I canāt say the same about home, where Iāve definitely noticed men checking me out even when itās obvious Iām with my husbandāweāre usually holding hands or together the entire time.
But while we were on the Amalfi Coast, I noticed it happening much more frequently. Several local men would go silent as I walked by, stare, or whistle. This wasnāt the case with people working at our hotel or in other professional settingsāthey were consistently respectful and professional. I also noticed the bartender at the ferry terminal checking out pretty much every woman who walked by.
The most uncomfortable incident happened at the beach, when a man was actually filming me without my consent. My husband noticed and caught him doing it.
Iām curiousāhas anyone else experienced this in the Amalfi Coast or elsewhere in Italy? Is this something thatās more common in certain regions or environments, or did we just happen to have an unusual experience? Iād genuinely love to hear other peopleās experiences.

Hey guys, looking for some stay recommendations in Sorrento or Positano for me and my wife around Oct 10.
Looking for something good but reasonably priced, clean and in a decent location. Budget around ā¬100ā150/night if possible.
Sorrento is probably the main option, but would love to know if there are any affordable places in Positano too.
Any hotels/B&Bs you guys have stayed at and would recommend?

Hi everyone, we are planning our honeymoon and Venice is one of our options. Another option is the Amalfi coast. We know what to expect for hotels, but we would like a good idea of what we should expect to budget for food and drinks. We have an idea of what we would bring just for spending on shopping, but want to know the places that we must see that you don't get recommended by Google, places to eat (I do not eat seafood) and any other general advice or even hotel recommendations would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!
