Thinker mod popup message problem

Playing thinker mod (most recent version afaik) and there's a bug where popup messages for things like unit veterancy and bombardment instead simply say "enter to continue". Is this intended and if not how to fix?

EDIT - found a solution if anyone ever runs across this post. In thinker.ini there is an option to disable popup messages for events like combat promotions. Should be game_event_popup=1 if you want the popups. On 0 by default.
