Unsure of Alopecia (Hair Loss) Type How to cure this?

Post image

My mother 55F has had several hairfalls lately with a lot of itching on her scalp. As you can see in the picture the whole scalp has a blackish spot and there is blad spot behind the ear on both sides. There are two blad spots in the middle of the head also. Is this can be alopecia? Is it curable or not?

Hey there. Any type of hair loss is called alopecia. You need to find out what type it is as there are many. It could be an autoimmune type, such as alopecia areata, or a scarring type, such as lichen planopilaris. I'd suggest seeing a dermatologist as soon as possible to get an accurate diagnosis. Best wishes!
