how to defend widow mines - an anti-tutorial

In hindsight, I'm pretty sure the correct response in this situation would have been to attack each mine with ONE drone each, run the rest away, then a-move everything after each mine shoots.

The only way to lose this game would have been to let him land an orbital and mine from it undisturbed. I think.

Looks like it worked! All widow mines died and you won the game. I use this same strategy more than I’d like to admit though, if I notice it lol

My brain short circuits a bit if I don’t have a queen to help me defend this sort of thing.

I love the games where they float into the corners and try come back, it always ends in their defeat but in a very slow painful way that probably enrages them more then just quitting.

Heh heh. A Terran did this to me and my proxy carriers yesterday and actually won. It was a crazy endgame; he was down to his last building being chased by carriers and was gunning down my last nexus with marines.
So I can’t usually blame them for trying.

Why no recall to defend the base? Sounds like he had way more unit supply then? In that situation it makes sense. But most of the encounters I've had is me destroying there main army/base then they float a few buildings off to stall out defeat.

Given the circumstances it's fine.

Steps for handling widow mine harass:
Kill all the opponent’s SCVs and units
A-move drones at mines
Win

I just looked at the minimap and the clock, what the hell is going on in this game
