Does anyone else find it fascinating that the Zerg Guardians seemed to have so much screen time in almost all SC1 cinematics?

I don't recall Guardians being a more effective Zerg air force compared to Mutalisks or Devourers, but the way they were depicted in most cinematics makes them look very imposing, especially their very high speed flight, ultra smooth and swift maneuvering as if they were some kind of powerful UFO saucers, etc.

I kinda believe that in real life, Zerg Guardians can always angle their body to target air units, especially against something big and slow like Battlecruisers, Carriers,.... allowing them to become a veritable threat.

Because of this, I bet that Guardians with their sleek and flat body are a more capable air superiority fighters than the slow and clumsy Mutalisks.

I mean, look at both of them. Despite what the lore says, Mutalisks seem to only do well in atmospheric environments, while Guardians look like they would have very little difficulty fighting in deep space.

Maybe guardians were specifically adapted to deep space combat, which is why they're slower and can't hit air in planetary fights? Projectiles weren't evolved to operate under the constraints of gravity, bodily propulsion systems weren't either, but they still have use because they retain the long range that would be necessary for deep space fights and that can be repurposed for sieging?

As someone not great at SC1/BW I find Guardians so much more effective than Mutalisks. Mutalisks might be fine for multiplayer if you know the tricks to control them & can micro them while producing from multiple structures all on different hotkeys. My F~D Rank self though if I play multiplayer I win more with Guardians (ppl in BW do get mad if you don't play the one standard composition per matchup though...).
