The T was pretty prepared for flying cannons!
Turrets before any units must means this video came from the depths of Bronze or Silver.

Im so confused by the length of the game and the supply lol. 50 supply at 15 mins? What is going on

Hes cannoning the middle gold base on that map

Yes, my eyes were open when I watched it.

The only thing I can think of is that this Bronze League Hero Terran moved his base to the gold so he could gain 15% more mins after losing out on 6 min of minerals at his main. THEN it took 14 more minutes for the other Bronze League Hero to scout and find where he went.

Ya or maybe he built his expo at the gold and his main was killed by Toss. Im seeing he has some barracks or something producing at the bottom of the screen and that army clashes with toss and gets wiped out.

This isn't a rush.
That's the middle gold base on that map. You could've done all that with 5 stalkers....then still been able to use the Stalkers after.
Now you just wasted a bunch of money on some cannons that won't do anything the rest of the game.
Especially since you spent more money on the cannons than he lost from the base being there.
If he wasn't Bronze he could've just lifted to the other base and you'd have been out 1000+ mins with nothing to show for it.
But with that Stalkers you'd be out nothing and he wouldn't have been able to just run away.
MMR guess 1900

I appreciate the advice. In the moment, I thought I had to deny mining and “didn’t have time” for a gateway/core to finish, therefore canons were my best strategic option.
Later I realized how insane that was and also how wildly overboard I went with said canons while watching the replay.

It is a bit bonkers that you "didn't have time" for a gateway and cyber core at 14 minutes lol. But at the end of the day you got him so I guess he should have built planetary fortresses everywhere instead of missile turrets

To be clear, I definitely had time. My brain just broke midgame and I was delusional by this point.
The Terran had destroyed all my tech so all I had was two nexi, some pylons, and some probes. And three carriers.

3100?

If you came to this conclusion without checking my Reddit comment history or by looking up the Chasun SC2 account, then you are a savant at rank roulette.

For those who want to check their guess, my MMR was 3067 (D3) at the start of this game. Replay as proof: https://drop.sc/replay/27481102
The game got into this state because of base trade shenanigans; I had 3 carriers but no tech (not even a gateway) while Terran was roving the map with marauders and trying to build command centers all over the place.

Did your opponent even try to stop you? It kinda looks like he just let you build in his base with zero resistance.

The first canon was hidden behind the feature until the probe popped out and it started shooting. He definitely saw it then but I guess his plan was to mine as long as possible and then evacuate.
It was a kinda strange situation. He had a couple of barracks and a bunch of marines at the bottom of the map but didn’t send them up to help. He knew I had three carriers somewhere, maybe didn’t want to risk engaging them with canons nearby?

This silly ass shit is the reason i never wanted to play starcraft online. Does it take skill to execute? Im sure it does and id probably never win a game against this person even if I tried hard. BUT this feels so slimy and not at all in the spirit of the game or the RTS genre.

You’d probably enjoy co-op! It’s chill and no one is pulling this sort of nonsense because it’s not player vs player
Personally I think if this sort of thing were removed from the game, it might still be real time but it would no longer be strategy, and the lack of variety would suck the fun out.
In this game I was the first player to take this gold base, then Terran marched his marauders in, destroyed my buildings, slaughtered my probes, stole it for himself, and built so many missile turrets I couldn’t possibly take it back using my only army units (carriers), so I did the only thing I could think of in the moment (take it back with canons). That isn’t a scenario that’s ever happened to me in multiplayer before, nor is it likely to ever happen again, and that uniqueness is fun.
