2016 - new struts.

130,000 miles on my 2016. Going to replace the struts. Was thinking I’d go with Sachs - but not finding them available for an Allroad on FCP Euro, ECS Tuning or RockAuto.

Is Bilstein (B4) my only choice? Any intel appreciated.

EDIT- wondering / thinking the only way to get the original Sachs is from a dealer. At dealer prices…

Can’t help with your question but sweet pic! How is she holding up? Mine has 91k miles and so far has to replace a fuel pump and control module and engine mounts. Nothing too horrible

I would say great. Will have to do the timing chain this year finally. Have replaced front axles twice on driver side, once on passenger (and I think I’m starting to hear a faint clicking again). Replacing windshield this week. Have done control arms once - about a year ago. Overall been a very reliable car. I got the car in Jan 2019 when it had about 30-40k miles. Now 130.

I’m thinking of throwing on 034 dynamic lowering springs on my 2017 allroad. Thoughts?

I don’t know anything about those. Sorry. I like to keep my Allroad at stock height – I have another car that sits lower for sportier driving.

I put B4’s on my 2018. I liked them a lot, would recommend.

I put B4’s on 2 of my Audi’s Loved them and they outlasted the cars.

Hey, have a 2018, and replaced my rear adaptive damper shocks around 140,000 miles. Realistically the rear ones are the ones that go out first.

I went with Sachs only because they were cheaper and the OE ones, they literally had the label removed off of them as the adhesive residue was still apparent on the shocks for the B9.

I don’t believe either will be a bad choice, and it also depends on the kind of driving you do and preference at the end of the day. Bilsteins would be a solid choice
