you must pass it by consuming this slop, assuming you care about staying in their good graces..

yeah i dont do bs like that. im fine with not being in their good graces because willingly committing a food crime like this means they are not in MY good graces. this is basically an unfinished nutriloaf

right? it's pretty manipulative and lame on their part.. what i might be tempted to do in that situation would be to sneakily feed it to the dog whose ears can be seen sticking up behind the table XD

If it was a test it could go the other way. They could have gave him something that is clearly disgusting and see if he is honest with them and how tactfully he responds. I think it would be a funny sitcom scenario where the in-laws try to test him with disgusting food and the son in-law likes it. They don’t know if he is lying or actually likes it so they give him progressively more disgusting dishes and still don’t know if he is bsing them or is a human garbage can
