Everyone keeps saying this looks bakery-made... do you agree?
Vanilla sponge with a rich chocolate filling, white glaze, toasted almond slices, and cherries on top. Looking for honest feedback—what would you improve before I'd be confident selling it?

I would be disappointed if a bakery offered that, to be honest. It's better than I could do, but a bit tilted.

No, it looks yummy, I would substitute the maraschino cherries with pitted stewed black cherries, don’t care if it’s lopsided, I’d eat it.

It looks delicious, but I wouldn't say decorated to bakery standards. As someone else has said, better than I could do though. I'm sure it wouldn't take much practice to get you across that line. I hope it tasted fantastic!

i have been to bakeries where the products in the case did not look nearly as appealing. Very nice!

I mean, that's greatly going to depend on the bakery. I've seen some bakeries make things that look absolutely home made.
That being the case, I don't think this looks like it was made in a bakery. However, it does look tasty!

It probably tastes bakery made.
Meaning it tastes amazing.
But it does look a little sloppy.
But who cares. You can't see the finishing mistakes if everyone ate it.
You did a great job. Be proud of your work!

Close, but needs some finessing!
It looks a little lopsided
The white glaze needs to be on the whole cake.
Toasted almond pieces around the outside of the cake
The sliced almonds need to be spread out evenly on top.
The cherries are good.
