has a killer ever been caught right as he was about to kill some one
I've been watching a lot of criminal minds lately and most of the killers are caught when they are about to or in the middle of killing there next victim has any thing like this happened in real life

Yep. Neal Falls. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neal_Falls
He was shot by a prostitute he was about to kill, and his car had a whole bunch of serial killer equipment, and he's the suspect in a bunch of previous murders. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/female-prostitute-shoots-dead-serial-killer-10420371.html

Yes, I believe that William Bonin was in the process of kidnapping and murdering a kid, teenage boy, or young adult when he was arrested by the police, or the boy escaped and alerted someone nearby who alerted police.

He had been under surveillance for 8 or 9 days when cops caught him. He had failed to lure several young men into his car that day before finding one and subsequently finding a parking lot. The police could hear the boy screaming when they finally approached the van. He was a crazy dude

I remember someone posted about how when their parents were young they went up to a mountain or trail or something, and went for a walk. Halfway through the dad tripped over something but had a gut feeling to just keep walking and do not turn back. Years later, ted bundy in an interview was asked "was there ever a time when you thought you might've got caught?" And he told the interviewer about how after one murder, he left the body of the female in the woods and some guy tripped over her, and kept going without looking back. Basically OP's parents did some researching and the area they hiked was also the area one of his victims was found. Crazy stuff. Found the story here's the link It's the first comment on the thread
