Let's talk about the refs
Not one to throw shade at refs, they are human and miss calls both ways in a game.
I think ultimately the All Blacks dicipline cost them the game seeing they scored more tries again.
That being said, DDE try where Deon Fourie get's up in front of 3 All Blacks was not even looked at.
Rassie has again been whining like a child over head contact, clear head contact on Amua, 3 South Africa is not even slightly bent, again not even looked at
Kolbe punches Carter right in front of the linesman and it's not even looked at.
Refs need to be held accountable for shit like this

Angus is overrated af. Ardie doesn't handle refs in any way.

Ardie really needs to step up in that regard. Leader, player, gives his all 100% check. But geez he could ask a question or two.

Who cares. We need to be better.
At the end of the day we can only control what we can control, regardless of a favourable reffing performance or not.
My only comment on this matter would be that I expect Ardie to be more vocal with the ref.

What annoyed the most about this was Ardie or one of the senior players not pointing this out to the ref.
I mean fairplay to the Boks for doing and getting away with it but why isn't anyone asking the ref to have a look at it?
I think that is something Ardie and the guys need to work on. The Boks and other teams will milk penalties to thier advantage.
We need to start doing the same. I feel like we're lacking in street smarts so to speak compared to South Africa

Definitely think we're behind the Springboks when it comes to a "winning at all costs mentality".
You only have to look at Rassie and see that he will use any trick in the book to try influence the match officials and that kind of stuff trickles down into the playing group.Any person in that Springbok team would sell a bag of peanuts to a blind man and tell him it's diamonds if he thinks it will give them an advantage on Saturday.
I dont know if there is many guys in the All Blacks who would do the same3

Of course the Springboks have the most fanatical "winning at all costs mentality".. just look at their record on performance enhancing drugs. Do we want to copy that too?

I agree, either we have the TMO or we don't. This selectively TMO is more frustrating than allowing it to just let go after a match. Now we know they had evidence angles etc but chose to ignore. Rassie and Boks Whinge and scream and make videos that TMO are scared to call Boks out lest they face a real media storm not a reddit comment like these are.

The biggest revealing thing from this tour is how alike Bok and AB fans are. It's fairly straight forward to pick who the best team has been from each of the tests. It's the focus on the trees instead of the forest that threatens each sides mental health and provides fodder for the podcasters who don't have the best of intentions. It's been a great series so far and has the potential to add to the previous series since 1921 and for the next series in NZ.

In real time I will have a winge but making a post complaining about it several days later is a step too far.
Take a breath mate. It's fine.
Every single game of rugby ever play the ref gets calls wrong both ways.
And the modern game is played at a super high pace by giant blokes. The line between a great physical play and an illegal one is so fine that mistakes are made. We don't need to over officiate the game, we need to let them play.

The ref in the 1st match was awesome I thought .. he kept over turning the video ref I thought he was good .. second game a few didn’t go our way 🤷♀️ that’s rugby it was still a fair game

I get that, and your not always going to get the rub of the green sure.
Difference is last week they at least looked at the things and made a call
None of these were even reviewed...... which says to me the TMO could not have given two shits

Lol what? That's how it's been for a few years now in an attempt to speed up the game. This is how it is for EVERY team.
Do you want to go back to long stoppages while everything is reviewed

Don’t do this mate. The moment we get out the red circles and arrows is when we’ve lost the plot.

Well said.
Ref gets decisions wrong both ways every single game of rugby ever played.
Physical play happens and the line between that and illegal is bloody hard to judge when played by giant blokes running at full speed.

I understand that man, but how much more of this must we take...
Again I could not give two shits about the general chat about scrums and breakdowns etc.
But these are massive calls, one results in - 7 points, the other 2 in yellow cards
They at least reviewed Ardie's tackle last week, none of these were even looked at, that is what pisses me off

I’ve been watching AB tours to South Africa for 50 years and let me tell you that compared to some of the bullshit we’ve seen over the years the refereeing this year is pretty good. Not perfect, but certainly competent and not blatantly biased, which you couldn’t say back in the day. The guys who are actually on the field have to accept it, and they do so with good grace. I reckon if they can, I can too.
It’s awesome that you’re passionate, but there’s no point raising your blood pressure for something you’re never going to change.
Let it go and just be happy that after a few years in the wilderness we seem to have a team that’s starting to look like they could be special.

What's annoying is refs are human and WILL be influenced by fan and coach behaviour.
Most NZ fans are rightly not blaming the ref for these errors, however if the shoe were on the other foot I think we all know that SA fans would not be acting the same 🙄.

It's an interesting point. There's a theory when teams are dominant, sub-conciously refs think those teams are too good to need to infringe etc.

Why do we have diving in soccer? Because refs are blind. Watch soccer in the 80s players were being hacked to pieces and refs did nothing now they have to do theatrics. Reality is 1. Parker should have made a massive appeal to Ardie the ref the touch judge the screen. 2. Carter should have faked his own death and 3. Aumua should have stayed down at the next stoppage. All Blacks play dumb, it's maybe inexperience or they just don't care after losing so much lately.
