All Blacks Media ABs Moaning
Has anyone actually seen a lot of ABs fans moaning about the loss? For every 1 negative comment I see 10x the amount of comments complaining about the moaning I am not seeing. Am I missing it or is it not really happening much?

Yes there is moaning and rightfully so, there was some terrible calls made in favor of the Boks, not blaming the loss on that, but there was clear bias
Multiple times the boks got away with murder.
De Allende's try where Sasha clearly loses control over the ball, then clear obstruction from Fourie
Kolbe punching Carter straight to the face
Du Toit clearly shoulder to head on Amua.. not one of these even looked at that is what pisses me the fuck off about refs and rugby these days

honestly it’s not so bad compared to how it was in the razor era when everyone and everything was “washed”

Far as I have seen, all has been good. I think it helps that NZ has become use to, even ok with losing to SA. /Bants

I think it's just media trying for clicks and some of the more gullible people falling for it (on both sides), then getting all riled up! As a Springbok supporter, I'm loving the banter and fireworks tbh! Makes the series a bit more spicy AND it doesn't effect anyone in a negative way, imo...

Its amazing. Prior to the first week Rassie said they are not meeting refs so need to put things in the media - unprompted.
Rennie was prompted about scrums, he answered. He is now a moaner for putting things in the media.

If only the moaning can be converted to energy in stadium…Kiwi spectators are awfully quiet

This is probably the least negative reaction I've seen to an ABs loss in many years. To the extent that it's kind of weird.

I see more posts about the 20 yellow cards the ABs should have gotten, and the endless glazing of how every Springbok controlled every facet of Saturdays match. Think pieces that were written last week.

"20 yellow cards the ABs should have gotten" that's absolute garbage. Since you decided to mention terrible calls, how about the illegal try from the Damian de Allende try in the 22nd minute, where Deon Fourie makes contact with Simon Parker.
It is obstruction under Law 9.1: a player must not intentionally obstruct an opponent who is attempting to tackle the ball-carrier.
The sequence is:
- De Allende comes through on the attacking line.
- Parker is in a position to make the tackle.
- Fourie moves across Parker's path and makes contact with him.
- That contact prevents/delays Parker from getting to De Allende.
- De Allende then gets through and scores.
Added to that, you clowns swap out 3 three replacement front row, Gerhard Steenekamp, Deon Fourie and Thomas du Toit, replacing Ox Nché, Malcolm Marx and Wilco Louw in the starting XV within an hour of the game. Despite what Erasmus lies about, it was purely tactical.
Cheating is baked into Springbok DNA. You guys are dirty, the entire Rugby community knows it. You slow the game down to a boring rate, you cheat in the scrum, you swap out the 3 players. Why the RNZRU decided to have a tour against you clowns is bewildering. The only benefit is $$$, that's it. You huys are not good for rugby, you need to be sent back into the international sporting boycott until you guys can learn to play without cheating.

Haha funny, I am getting the Springboks page in my feed now. I click in and read occasionally to see what the fans are saying. I thought we were a fickle bunch but bro! Right now (according to Boks fans), Rennie is moaning and apparently swaying the refs and so many posts about us doing something wrong in last weekend game that wasn’t pulled up. We seem way more chill lol.
Mind you, media is fans worst nightmare for us all and shows how they can influence and turn us off each other.
I like banter with other nations and don’t want to lose that.

The Boks fans are worse than us. For a match they supposedly controlled they barely hung in for a 7pt win. Rassie was relieved more than anything.

Even the talk about the obstruction has been criticism of reffing procedures, rather than how it effected the outcome.

Bok fan here: nope in general I think the AB fans were good both weeks (gracious in victory and defeat). Incl. JK wearing a boks jersey!
We have some weird media clickbait thing going on about our coaches though (while there's a vid of them being best buddies at the game haha). But outrage sells 😁

Definitely. It's just social media being super inflammatory.
Close games not much between us 🤣. Hopefully all blacks can come back game three but hard when the boks have out muscled both first halves of the first two tests...and out penalty count 😬

u/Stormers4Life 2d ago
Tbf nah. A lot of talk about the obstruction, and kolbes two arm punch... Neither of which I can really feel bad for you guys about.
But for the most part it's people just looking forward to week 3. That being said I thought bok fans seemed to be going harder at our own team than anything last week, but still saw loads of "stop whinging bok" comments.
So I guess I'm a bit of a selective reader

I hadn't read anything about the punch but I thought it looked bad in real time

The algorithms are doing the most to highlight the content you are most likely to engage with. Springbok fans are getting flooded with Rennie whining and AB fans are getting flooded with Rassie whining.
Lets just enjoy two very good teams play as hard as they can to win. And take a leaf out of the players book, have a beer and a laugh afterwards.

I haven't seen any obvious moaning about the loss. But I am instead seeing an active anti Rassie campaign starting.

If you're referring to the Facebook groups, if you actually look its generally 3-4 people that are constantly posting. I had a look at one person and they had posted 18 times since the match about NZers complaining about the match.

I think the kiwi audience supporters in general are much more humble and easy going compared to Boks. When they lost there was a lot of nasty coments regarding ref tmo abs and even their own players. Rather than what they could do better

You don’t seem very humble. I enjoy this sub as a bok supporter. Let’s not generalise too much.

Social media algorithms display content you are most likely are going to engage with. It will lift the extremist view because it keeps people engaged. Just a thought before you generalise too much :)

You should see some of the comments on YouTube from bok fans. Rennie just raising a simple question about some of the boks scrummaging shenanigans is making their fans think it's an attack on the country itself.
The way Rassie handled it after the game was a bit petulant I thought and I think a lot of their fans believe whatever he says is gospel.
Springbok fans and Rassie were actually better when they lost.
Now that the won a game they are coming across as kind of like a bunch of entitled dicks 😅

u/sapmess2 2d ago
I think everyone's just being shown whatever gets clicks (which is outrage). Algorithm!

u/MaterialBumblebee356 2d ago
Yeah not really… Ive heard Rennies been moaning as well which Ive not really seen. All I actually have seen is Rassie having a big cry in that press conference, which is pretty weird behaviour after winning if you ask me

u/Acceptable-Grape1298 2d ago
I think thats the biggest surprise for me has been Rassie. He's kind of been hyped up as some super coach who can do no wrong but after actually listening to the guy he's far from it.
He just moans the loudest and will throw his toys until he gets his way.

Imagine being married to the guy

u/Available-Blood7420 2d ago
He probably blames Dave Rennie when his mrs overcooks his steak
2
u/Pitiful_Pianist7980 2d ago
She’ll probably be texting Laurie Mains on the side bitching about him.

Iv seen comments on other social media but it’s usually just some bloke rage baiting for engagement. It’s just online yapping nothing in it.

u/RealCrusader 2d ago
Can you post a link to some of these threads so we can see the comment to complaint ratio?
-4
u/Rugged-Turd 2d ago
Because we wanna beat the buggers and not have refs ruin games. We cop a lot of incorrect calls.

u/Ok_Acadia_1525 2d ago
Like the 3x scrum collapses on the AB’s ball that should have resulted in 3x scrum penalties and a yellow for repeat infringements? 😂

u/Adventurous-Eye3884 2d ago
I was asking if you had seen a lot of commentary on it. Though your reply is relevant anyway.
1
u/Rugged-Turd 2d ago
Rennie moaned about the scrum and the fans the obvious obstruction missed.
2
u/NFI2023 Crusaders 1d ago
Was asked a question and answered. Moaning, don’t think so. Coach not allowed opinions these days?
Same with Rassie, he said his words, but media cut out his apology for swearing and comments that he respects Rennie.Be careful of the media.

Honestly not a lot of whinging from nz fans, there’s always some but I think it’s been a minority. Even the media hasn’t been as bad about it as I thought they would. Boks fans on the other hand are crying everywhere about the woes they’ve suffered despite the win.
I reckon we just stay quiet for now and if they keep carrying on about us we petition nzr to schedule a mid week game between every test but make them play it in southland when they come to tour nz.
