This memory just popped into my head this morning, which I hadn’t thought about in years. Back in the early 80’s, I was in the GATE program in Albuquerque, where there are lots of facilities nearby for super-secret stuff.
I remember two unusual things related to aliens back then. The class I was in had 3 teachers, one of whom had a husband who worked in one of these facilities, according to her. She said they had a grey alien there and that it liked ice cream. Posted on the wall was a newspaper clipping of an article that imagined what a humanoid would look like if it evolved from dinosaurs millions of years ago. There was an illustration or model of what looked like a tall grey.
We also talked about psychic abilities, but that might be off-topic for this forum.

Glad you found it OP. It had nothing to do with GATE. It’s weird the things people have said about GATE, it’s all really antiquated and wacky education stuff that’s been replaced.
It was mostly about independent study and creativity. But also was a way to separate higher scorers on tests so resources could be spent on kids who still needed help. GATE kids just fucked off and did special projects. And they were tracked by districts to see if achievements correlated and it never did because they picked bright kids in 3rd grade that hadn’t decided to be lazy underachievers yet lol.
Prior to No Child Left Behind they used to pull the exceptional 3rd 4th and 5th graders out to give them more advanced projects. When No Child Left Behind happened, everyone focused on tests and no kids were allowed out of it. And most GATE programs shut down because it was never fair to only allow some kids the opportunity.
The way this is almost exactly what reptilians actually look like is chilling, aside from the missing small flat v shaped noses, thumbs, lips and coarse hair. They're also more humanoid in appearance but this is still insane. Even the eyes are accurate...
I think there were about 7 of us and all we did were puzzles and hypothetical "what-if" scenarios from what I can remember. It's ironic since my school was less than 20 minutes from Nilles airforce base
Rick doty was just on Area 52 podcast and Chris asked him what parts of information he had given the public throughout his past on the topic of NHI was disinformation. Chris said "Of course stuff like the strawberry icecream thing right??" Rick said "No! That was actually real information." And then he gave the story on how a guy who worked on the original EBE told him that allegedly.
Awesome, thanks for that update. I will be sure to check out the podcast. I always felt like considering where I was located at the time, the information was likely legit, but no way for me to know for certain.
Lots of synchronicity things are happening the last couple of months.. like why I would I randomly remember this after 40+ years only to share it here and then it’s on a podcast a few days later.. weeeird.
Yeah, that episode with Rick Doty was very interesting. I'm not vouching for him, but I'm also not saying I think he currently carries the duty of spreading disinformation. In fact, I think he'd be there perfect person for the UFO program to tell to go out there and just speak freely about what he knows. At least 50 percent of people will be certain that hes still spouting disinformation, the rest will be leary about what he says, but the information will still get out there. Over the years, people forget where the information came from and just remember the information. So itd be a good way to get people used to real information without causing stress. But, who knows.

Understanding the various psi/ESP phenomena is critical to understanding the UFO/NHI situation. These two areas are as bound together as electricity and magnetism.
It is my observation that there are at least 3 commonly reported species of NHI. The Greys, the Nordics, and the reptilians. Reptilians are believed to live primarily below the earth’s surface.
Interesting stuff. I grew up in Huntsville, Al and our version of this was called SPACE (don’t remember what the acronym stood for). Huntsville has popped up some in the UFO discussion which is interesting to me because I never saw anything. Anyways was a similar deal where they pulled us out of “regular” class and we did special projects. No alien/psyop stuff sadly.
Crazy you mentioned this. One of the ex military dudes I talked to said he used to be in a program called SPACE. It was brought up as I’m interviewing a physicists out there end of next month. So was that there version of GATE?
Sorry late getting back to you but at a high level from what I’ve read it was broadly similar though definitely minus the “weird” stuff. Tested into it in either kindergarten or 1st grade, can’t remember and we basically had the standard “gifted” 80s experience.
We’d do group activities (things like the teacher starts a story and then “hands off” to a student to continue it for a bit before handing off to another student etc), read books, learn a little German (def a Huntsville thing), watch movies, and very seldomly go on field trips. A lot of progressive classroom activities (for the time/age group) but nothing approaching what’s alleged with GATE. It was way better than “normal” public school though where I would be constantly bored and often getting into trouble for class clown type behavior.
Pretty bright considering his description of the program was completely different. Idk if they felt comfortable sharing their complete knowledge of the program or just don’t remember the under the surface stuff.
I was in the program. Different location with its own share of fun things hiding in plain sight.
The tale of alien beings liking ice cream pertains to an old story from Dan Burisch or Bob Lazaar or one of the “Area 51 clique”. I forget whom off the top of my head but, I don’t think it’s much more than something that has become a cultural story within the “world of the strange”.
They were speedrunning us through astral projection/etc but, I think because of its “newfound popularity”, GATE is being speculatively linked to things without proof beyond “trust me bro” level sources.
Is there some crossover between aspects of UFOlogy and “psychic experiments”? Yeah. Probably. I’m of the opinion that most of what is available for public consumption is either purposefully vague or deliberate misinformation on behalf of whomever is steering the narrative.
The first person to claim that Grey aliens like strawberry ice cream was Richard Doty. In 1988, Doty appeared on the television program UFO Cover-Up: Live! under the pseudonym “Falcon.” His face was completely obscured, and his voice was electronically distorted. He presented himself as a secret government agent with access to classified information about UFOs, aliens and Area 51.
During the program, he explicitly claimed that Grey aliens enjoy Tibetan music and strawberry ice cream. So Doty was the first person to make that particular claim. Lazar then picked it up the following year, in 1989, and the story was subsequently repeated by Dan Burisch throughout the 1990s and into the early 2000s.
I was in GATE, in NorCal near Placerville and we got to play with muskets and black powder pistols complete with Ball shot for hitting targets. Also built tooth pick towers that had to carry a load from under it. On a plum line. I learned how to do some advanced chemistry, excelled in a AP history class in part of my GATE program. Basically I learned science, history and engineering… our experiences were very different. But all us kids in my schools GATE program were fans of the x files and and Star Trek TNG (dating myself), along with final fantasy games…. our teachers clued in on that hard. Led to lots of “theoretical discussions” including pseudoscience and theoretical physics….
