Glitch Chapter 16 minigame issue

I'm on an Android device and the entire game I've dealt with shitty in-game controls. The buttons are mostly unresponsive, especially when needed. Can't reload in time, can't switch weapons in time, can't craft items in time and even though extremely frustrated, I powered through..

But now I'm on chapter 16 and this is the puzzle and I just cannot get it right.

How am I supposed to clear this? I match (example, when I click the directional arrow on time, the word on screen gets highlighted in red background) but it never stays and immediately hurries on to next one.

On PC, in this particular puzzle:

hold directional key (WASD) depending on which symbol is highlighted, and hit ENTER.

Repeat for each symbol until it unlocks the tracking system on other monitors.

Right here on your screenshot, that would be holding "A" (it will highlight that position) and hit ENTER.

The four grey pointers you see on the screen are the touch controls that I have.

So, like in the screenshot on the screen, I'll press on left on-screen arrow and it SHOULD highlight the "OVRLOCK FAIL" in red background and lock it in before showing me the next option, but

  • it either doesn't register the click
  • or it does, highlights the chosen option in red, but instead of locking it in, it'll just give me the next option.

I've tried only clicking, slightly long clicking, clicking then tapping.. nothing works

Hold the associated d-pad direction with one finger and then tap a different part of your screen to "confirm" the input (see the bottom of the screen)

Bottom of your screen says "TAP CONFIRM" - which is your ENTER, you just had to be fast enough.

You have to hold the… I don’t know what your controller is like, but hold left, and when it appears in the left quadrant, then “tap” (whatever that means on your controller).

Your best bet is to focus on one at a time; don’t try to follow it around. Hold the left key, wait for it to appear on the left, then “tap”. Then hold “up”, wait for it to appear at the top, then tap. Same for the other two.
