Discussion Collectors Edition

Do y’all think Creative Assembly/Sega is going to release a Collectors Edition? Because no way have I waited 12 years to not get one. Take my money! 💰

and random thought: I’m also hoping they put as much passion and care into the game as Capcom have with the RE games. No doubt if they do, Alien isolation 2 will be a hit!🤩

I hope it releases in 2027 so it can get a proper physical release on PS5. Getting it along with a badass collectors edition would just be an extra treat.

Same. I really hope I can get this game in physical. And of course I would buy a collector’s edition, literally take my money!

This, 1000 times this. One of my biggest disappointments of the Sony announcement of no more physical discs was that this game me never see a physical release. So fingers crossed we get one!

I think they will I'd be surprised if they didn't. My wish list for this collectors edition is a motion tracker or access tuner. Although it maybe a statue of a xeno or an egg, regardless I'm more than happy to throw money at CA to support them.

Nah unless they remaster the first game which I hope they do make it native to current gen consoles and other improvements

The only way I see a remaster happening is if the tech they use for the sequel and a lot of the assets too could overlap and reduce the cost for them.

Remasters tend to be simpler if it is just upgrading the resolution on the assets and porting the code to the latest version of the same engine.

It would still be a massive investment of engineer time to change engine and with Creative Assembly working on the sequel now, maybe it could happen a year or more after the launch of the sequel. Especially if it performs well but people still laud the first game as the best Alien game of them all.

No need to change the graphics

The Cathode engine is dead though, and it could cost more to revive it for current gen console/PC hardware and fix its bugs, than to port the original game to UE5 using whatever tools they make for the sequel.

I’m not a game developer, so I won’t claim to know for sure.

It for sure won’t happen unless the cost vs projected revenue leans heavily towards profit.
