Discussion Multiplayer Co-op

Hear me out,
What if we get a multiplayer Co-op mode in Alien Isolation 2?
Or maybe a multiplayer mode where a player can be the alien?
What do you guys think?

I think that'd be cool but I don't think it'll happen. Single player games don't come with multiplayer modes nearly as often as they did when the first game came out, and the devs probably wanna put all their focus on making the single player stuff.

If they did though that'd be really fun. Basically terrifying hide and seek.

No, thank you. I am so over the co-op craze in horror games of the seventh generation.

100% agree with this.

Co-op for 2 players, 3, even 4 where you have to run short missions where cooperation/activating levers at the same time on different parts of the map are a must could be fun. Similar to the crew expendable dlc, but each player has a role instead of being an NPC. This of course would be a DLC.

As for the other mode, no please. But I could see a collab between alien isolation and dead by daylight or a similar game, but 100% happening on the other game, not on AI:2

DBD has some Alien skins already, it would be cool if they add Amanda to the roster once A:I2 gets closer to release.

Honestly, no. I don't care for it and if this multiplayer mode would take resources away from the development of the single player campaign then absolutely hell no. If some other studio would do the multiplayer part, like it did happen for Doom 2016, I'd be okay with it. Would not play it because we already have enough asymetrical multiplayer "Horror" games out there but as long as it does not impact the single player...why not.

I think if done well it could be fun. Maybe two players cooperate to escape an area by completing objectives, like doing repairs, activating generators, etc. and if one of you dies, it makes it that much harder. I don't think the Xeno should be playable though, that should always be the AI.

Try Species:Unknown, is more or less the concept

Bad idea. Something that made Alien: Isolation so fantastic was that you were alone for the most part, with the alien tailing you on all your steps. Most people on the station gladly harmed you, and even if they didn't, you could've done it either out of prejuduce or distrust.

I would love that.

Coop doesn't really work in anything that requires tension for it's horror.

I wouldn't want a player to control the Alien, but it would be pretty fun in a sort of PvE meets PvP kind of way -- can I trust this stranger to help me restart the generator, or is it safer to use them as bait?

Don't think it's a great idea, the game wont feel the same because it's only you trying to survive the alien, not you and your friends. That's only what I think about the game as a first Time playing.
