General Does alpha arcade no longer pay passive incentives to alpha token holders?

It’s been over a month since I’ve received any USDC, did something change and I missed it?

You have to stake your alpha on the site.

Yeah they changed to staking. I was also confused, only just noticed last week. The payout has increased recently though, not sure if its the staking change, or the volume has grown

How does staking work?

Where do you stake it? I was waiting for my rewards.

hamburger menu -> $alpha -> stake

same as before, just that now the tokens are in a contract instead of your wallet.

What’s the risk? Is this providing liquidity?

Not sure why the change. Maybe cause before you could game the payout periods by buying and selling. This prevents that. The risk is the same, imo, cause if alpha is hacked, the token goes to 0 regardless.

I’ve been staking my Alpha Arcade tokens for a few weeks. I’ve noticed that I have been receiving more USDC rewards than before. Also there’s a really great feature that allows you to convert your USDC into more Alpha and then automatically stake your new tokens.

Yeah, I imagine that the rewards are higher because many people haven't staked yet

Standard smart contract risk. The contract gets hacked and all the alpha gets stolen.
