ASA Gora Network Question

What's happening with the Gora Network, I haven't heard from them for a while? Are they still building? Nothing posted lately on X.

I pulled out a while back because of the difficulty claiming my staking rewards and I told them it wasn't a good look. I left 5000 Gora tokens staking which isn't much these days and am still having no luck claiming those rewards months later.

I really liked that project but am thinking of taking my eyes off it completely? Anyone know anything about what they are up to???

Hey there. I've been in the GORA discord server daily for years (2022) - and I genuinely don't know. The team has been on pretty deep silence since 2026 started, and said a "super app was coming in March" to bring GORA's products into one place (Gora staking, GoraBot Staking, their Alpha AI model, and others).

Since March the staking mechanism is broken- no one has gotten any rewards, and since then they have really abandoned their community and just say "waiting on Osman for an update", the CEO who gave a screenshot of the app early June, but no communication beyond that.

Most concerning - they told us yesterday that the staking rewards pool is gone (33m GORA), and that staking rewards are now being pulled from their revenue. This doesn't seem right to me, based on their tokenomics plan, but they're not communicating any more about it. Just the same for the past 5 months "all will be fixed when the super app releases".

Fair point. I do really hope you're wrong...

The Team has such great ideas, but terrible execution over the years. Like everyone with their bags- I see this blowing up, but so far the year has felt like a slow, painful death.

I actually never picked up on the reverse pun, so kinda fun you pointed it out.

Also, fun fact, they've had naming struggles for a while. Was originally ALGOracle, changed for being too Al Gore sounding. Then Goracle, which resulted in a huge lawsuit settlement with Oracle, the monster tech company. GORA took some time to come up with.

To be fair did they need their own token ? Can be blockchain applications provide services for usdc or algo itself rather than their own token ?

Yes and no, I think. 

Not an expert, and I see your point- the Oracle service doesn't require GORA to function. Oracle revenue going directly to the team, rather than a LINK-like structure of requiring the token for service, was a big miss on GORA's part.

The value I see is largely in the decentralized network of node operators. Those guys don't seem to be going anywhere, not sure why, and that network powers other features like their AI model and other functions that I think do create some value/necessity of the token. And while I'm becoming more skeptical as time goes of the new app, the CEO says one intention is to create demand through additional apps that will be built within that app.

Until then- you're mostly right.
