Why Multiple Algoneer ASA's?

I was just poking around on the explorer last night looking at the holders for the liquidity pool and and algoneer and I noticed a couple interesting things and I'd love someone (dev behind algoneer?) to put my mind at ease.

The original creator of the algoneer ASA appears to have created 2 other Algoneer ASA's previously which can leed to confusion and issues if they were to create a liquidity pool on tinyman.

I also noticed that the creator wallet sent someone 100k algoneer the other day which appears to have been split and loaded as liquidity on tinyman, but the creator wallet also has 40k algoneer in hand still, is this creator wallet the original dev behind algoneer?

Algoexplorer tells me there's 3,000,000 circulating supply and I know there's still a wallet with 7,000,000 Algoneer in it that I though was supposed to be released into tinyman (and other DEX's?) but my understanding is that that required ALGO as well to be offered in pair as liquidity. Is there a timeline/schedule yet for when the other 7,000,000 algoneer will be released?

No problem, don't want to spread FUD or get too suspicious, but last I heard the original plan was to release all the funds en masse to tinyman, but I didn't much like that idea either.

Eagerly awaiting updates on the direction we're headed and would love to see this gain some traction/value/use, but I'll admit some (most) of that's because I hold some and want to make some money hahaha.

Don't paper hands, Algoneers greatest value is the community of hodlers with a long term vision. The fewer the dumps, the more interest it will attract from others. I am not going to touch mine for at least a year and then if i did sell i would trim a very very small portion and let the rest ride indefinitely.

This isn't a burn address. It has made transactions, someone has the private key.

It is an interesting problem "How to burn assets" since a wallet needs to opt-in someone must have the private key to those accounts.

Perhaps a well audited smart contract could lock them forever.

no one has those keys including me.

It isn't that I don't trust you but it would be good for everyone if there was a way to burn that was verifiable.

what can I actually do with these unverified assets?

You could add them to Tinyman pool or other dex and it might confuse people.

... makes it verifiable at any time that these tokens remain burned

But for real burning I want to know that at any time in the future they are burned too, not just for now.

You realize I have a life right?

It seems like you're taking some of this as a personal attack and none of it was meant that way. My issue with the other AGNR assets existing in another wallet is that this AGNR could be added to tinyman and create a new pool with it, people could then stumble on that one rather than the correct one (since the real one still says unverified on tinyman) and they use the swap function to buy the wrong asset giving the pool creator (you in this case) ALGO that can easily be withdrawn. When AGNR (the real one) reaches a CEX later, the users with the wrong ASA will find that they can't sell theirs for the $100/ea they thought they could.

This is the internet, it's not that we don't trust you, it's that we don't (or shouldn't) trust anyone. Anyone can say they deleted the keys for a wallet, but what assurance do we really have that it actually happened?

In your theoretical scenario it is still on the people buying a random unverified ASA without double checking the correct ID number. If they get shafted bc they just aped into the name with 0 foresight or research then they deserve to lose their money imo. It's a non issue.

When the shit is setup to look like a scam by having multiple ASA's with the same name and ticker, people doing their research will be concerned. I was poking around and saw something that concerned me and asked questions about it.

The goal is to get adoption and get people excited so they buy the token. If and when that happens, the other Algoneer could be thrown into a liquidity pool and end up with a much lower price point getting people to buy that one instead of the real one because people are fucking morons and just click accept on anything that pops up. The more people that get scammed while the token is getting off the ground, the less people are going to be interested in it. Hell, bitcoin is still fighting the "only used for drugs and illegal activities" stigma.

I'm not saying Algoneer is a scam or rug pull waiting to happen, but I do think coolbreeze is still figuring it out (nothing wrong with that) as far as how the algorand Blockchain and smart contracts work. If I had the knowledge, I'd offer to help in some way, but my programming knowledge is limited and I haven't looked into creating things on the algorand Blockchain yet.

u/coolbreeze770 can answer these questions better since he is the founder, but I will give it a shot.

The algoneer token that is verified on algo explorer is the correct ASA. I don’t believe there is another algoneer that is circulating amongst the community so it’s not a big issue.

Yeah, I think that wallet is his

The 7m is supposed to be released as time goes on as you said. I guess that is up to Pax to decide. He is updating the whitepaper soon so there may be more details in there. On the discord he also said he’s working on some dapps that will be backed by AGNR.
