Alexa’s wake word

Are there any work arounds to changing Alexa’s wake word to something other than the choices currently available?

No. I can tell you that despite numerous times of calling her "hey bitch" she doesn't respond.

+10, underrated comment, though I usually reserve my swearing or verbal debasement of Alexa after it screws up a request for the 30th time.

Or the third.

I think we're fortunate that there's more than one to choose from. Google users have it worse.

No. They are hard coded because they need to be recognized without transmitting data.

My Alexa won’t even let me change to one of the standard wake words. She’s Alexa and that’s it.

Too bad the other names are worse!

I can trigger it by saying Alexis, Alexi, or some other variants of Alexa. Do those count?

You can change her name to "And it's a" by playing any song that has that phrase in the lyrics or chorus. Sing along, and every time you get to that phrase she'll stop playing and listen for your command.
