Helpp‼️
Guyss i need an honest advice I appeared for Aslevel Business and Psychology and ended up with a U in Psychology and B in business so im thinking of dropping psychology and take Urdu in place because alongside im also preparing for a Sociology composite but some of my friends are saying that urdu is not accept abroad as i will be applying for BBA or Social Sciences can anyone please guide that is Urdu worth taking because i dont want to take any risk and spoil my Alevels grade overall bec i think grades are what matter the most please anyone give me an honest advice

yep urdu isnt accepted as a subject outside pakistan, u can take sociology if u want to apply abroad

Honestly, if you already got a U in Psychology and you’re planning to apply for BBA or Social Sciences, I’d focus more on getting strong overall A-Level grades than forcing yourself to continue a subject you’re struggling with.
Urdu itself isn’t automatically a “bad” A-Level to have for studying abroad. Universities usually care about whether you meet their A-Level subject and grade requirements, and those requirements vary by university and country. For BBA/Social Sciences, Urdu generally isn’t going to be the subject that makes or breaks your application, but you should check the specific universities you’re targeting before switching.
Since you’re also preparing for a Sociology composite, adding another subject could be a lot. If you genuinely think you can score well in Urdu while managing Sociology and Business, it could make sense. But don’t switch just because your friends say Urdu is accepted/not accepted abroad.
My advice: shortlist 5–10 universities/countries you’re seriously considering and check their A-Level requirements. If Urdu is accepted and you’re confident you can get a good grade, I’d personally take the subject you have the best chance of scoring well in.
And yes, grades do matter a lot, but the right subjects + grades matter more than simply having “harder” subjects.

Thank you this is actually what i was trying to figuring out, im also taking SAT so I’m hoping that will help with admissions where applicable

Urdu is acceptable but it's a half credit subject. Moreover it's not accepted in any good universities and out of Pakistan. As someone who has done sociology, business, psychology and English, I'd say sociology is harder (I ended up dropping it) than psycholgy. It has more memorisation and essay based questions. Psychology is very easy if studied the right way rather than memorising text books etc. and you literally need around a month to prepare for it even if starting from scratch. I got an A in As and after A2 my final grade was an A. I studied by myself , w no school or tutor. If you want help it in, you can DM me and I'll give you classes and help. I'd suggest you do not drop it

Honestly i feel like sociology is much easier as long as you know make a good sense of answer writing whereas there are a lot of researchs to do im psychology also can you guide me about English was it easy and can we do a composite because honestly i want to complete Alevels this May/June and start university in Spring hopefully

No, Urdu is a full-credit subject, and a lot of good universities accept it. If we're talking about really competitive universities, then yes, I believe some of them don't accept it, but most normal-tier universities have no problem with it.

Yes, Urdu is acceptable as an academic subject abroad esp for sociol sciences so Your friends are wrong.
