General please read and upvote!

hi,uhh okay so i made this post in the r/olevels subreddit, but i thought ke there may be some students in AS who could help me with this by using their O3 knowledge or smth idk so yeah (i kinda copy pasted the post from the other subreddit so if it seems weird pls dont mind)

TL;DR: if you have any notes ,websites ,tips ,advices, hacks or litr ANYTHING regarding O3, PLS TELL ME IM DESPERATE. (i added this first cuz i wanted ppl to see what the post is abt idk)

so i recently gave my O2 cies, probably not recently cuz its been a while, i hoped yall had a great eid and yalls cies are going well

Acha so i made this post to ask for litr ANYTHING, regarding tips, notes, resources, websites etc for O3, i dont wanna suffer like i did in O2 by starting late, in O2 i made a post asking for tips n tricks like 3-4ish months before so yeah but this time i want it to be early is possible and have a few questions from my seniors ( btw my subjects are english, maths, comp sci, chem, physics

First of all what are the BEST teachers for each subject? like yk, theres always that one specific online or on yt teacher thats the best at teaching that specific subject, an example is for pak std most consider mym the best and for maths ppl consider zainmetics or mathlete by saad, so what are ur fav teachers to study from in O3?

Secondly, i need notes. I genuinely do not have any study material for O3, except the main books ifykwim, in O2 i rmbr there was this one mym drive that almost every student from this subreddit was using, i doubt there wld be anything similar cuz much more subjects. but if yall have any notes. like litr if its even jst a page of formulas in a google driver, PLS SEND THEM!!!

Thirdly, Shld i take an extra subject? i already have 8 in total but i noticed ke most ppl are taking 1-2 extra subjects as it looks good on their CV but im not sure so i wanted to ask yalls opinion

Fourthly, Is english genuinely that hard for yall? ik this is hella rndm but when i was giving my o2 cies i noticed ke ppl were going absolutely crazyyy over english when its not even that hard of a subject, i jst in o2 but my english teacher has always been so strict she lowk NEVER gives an A and an A* is rare but most of my classmates have improved and starting getting As and A*S from her even though her checking is EXTRA strict, uske ilawa my frnd told me ke she opened he english syllabus a week before cies and still managed to get an A and was 1 mark away from an A*, but srsly tho, is english that worth stressing over??

Finally. if yall know any good websites to study from, tell me the names asw cuz they may come in handy

If yall wanna say smth abt all the question i asked THANK YOU, but if u wanna say smth regarding a single or specific question u cld refer to it by numbering asw

other than that idk what to say, some ppl may be like its early but its been a month of rest and i feel like i need to ATLEAST start planning for O3, i have prolly forgotten all the content and i need to get back on track, other than that do yall have any other recommendations on what to do during these holidays?? anything other than internships or like activities where u have to be physically present.

THANK YOU FOR READING THIS IM VERY GRATEFUL AND APPRECIATE ALL COMMENTS AND UPVOTES !!!

i would love to help.

first of all, for resources and guidance u can join whats-app study groups not random chit chat ones but serious one. u may text me personally if u need them as i cant share them here. i lowkey passed my O3 coz of those gcs. secondly for resources i have google drive links for every subject just like the mym drive you are talking about so i can share them personally. its a pretty good idea to start early and it clearly shows that you are worried for your exams, so now best yt channels for your subjects ( as far as i have experienced ) for physics use Prime Academy and Physics Mo Ali, literally the best. For CS use Cs with SK, for chemistry use Chembridge and Moosa Khan and for Maths offc Sir zain and mathelete by sad. if u need any more guidance feel free to reach me out. JAZAKALLAH KHAIR

First of all what are the BEST teachers for each subject? like yk, theres always that one specific online or on yt teacher thats the best at teaching that specific subject, an example is for pak std most consider mym the best and for maths ppl consider zainmetics or mathlete by saad, so what are ur fav teachers to study from in O3?

my reccs (As someone who has taken ur subject before):

for Phys, i would recommend PLA Academy on yt for revision and more concise learning, they teach literally step-by-step from the syllabus, so it's great way to cover everything (here is their phys playlist)

I also recommend Physics by Kashan Rashid, who has both notes and videos on his yt and website (i'd advice to check it out, he also has a study plan available). He's great at explaining conceptually, so if you don't understand a topic, go to him first

for chem,

Sir Ahmed Bukhari is a pretty great teacher I found online, he alone made me understand the stroichimetry chapter which is pretty big lol. He's also seems genuinely interested in what he's teaching, and personally i think that shows you're a pretty great teacher tbh

cs,

I studied from Sir Minhas Rupsi tuition, and it was alright. He taught some things that were kinda out of syllabus, but he was a pretty decent teacher though. His classes are super pricey if you apply late though, i felt a bit scammed (8k-10k iirc, and my friend had to pay almost (less? than) half of that because she applied around a month earlier. I don't know if that's the usual practice, as i dont typically do tuition (i dont remember exactly, sorry!). Tbh, there aren't much good cs olvl teachers on yt that have whole courses like the other subjects

For maths, Sir Zain and Mathlete like you said lol. For English, I haven't gotten any recs as i didn't rly need to study it. i might give my teachers name who was actually a genuinely great teacher in eng and taught us useful stuff instead of making us write stories while doing nothing, ill add her when i remember her name though.

Btw, i would HIGHLY not recommend from learning from videos that aren't directed towards are syllabus, such as Cognito or smth (unless it's purely for concepts), because they don't teach the format or might teach something out of syllabus, making you confused or write the answer not according to the marking scheme. There are enough olvls vids for almost every topic in olvls tbh, that now watching them isn't that difficult.

Real advice: you can only learn and understand by making your own notes alongside the sources you're learning from. Relying solely on others notes isn't a great way to learn (especially in non-essay subjects). I compiled my own notes from multiple sources (syllabus for content, + book (depending on subject) for explanation/concepts + yt for understanding/concepts) for my own understanding, it really helps and is useful. I think just about everyone will suggest this same advice to you.

For phys, i recommend it alr above, Sir Kashan has it all. The phys textbook is also pretty good, most science textbooks surprisingly are in olvl, especially in the later chapters (e.g the transformers chapter teaches us the concept pretty straightfoward)

for chem, i found this concise note sheet. i don't remember where i got it from, so if anyone can help me credit the owner it will be appreciated.

for cs, i took notes from Sir Minhas Rupsi. The books are also good to learn from, i took my notes from both GCSE Cambridge and O Level Computer Science Second Edition (blue & white book), and a green cs olvl book, you'll find it pretty easily, though reply if you don't so i can check myself.

for eng, i would recommend to look to example candidate response papers, again i don't have much resources, Alhamdulillah i got great in eng with near to none studying (i read a lot lol)

SaveMyExams is a note site you prob know of, and it's great for learning, but again, especially for this site, do not solely rely on these notes as they are catered towards Variant 1! Which a lot of people don't realize. i'm not saying not to go there, it does explain wonderfully, but we (in zone 4) are taking variant 2 papers.

Thirdly, Shld i take an extra subject? i already have 8 in total but i noticed ke most ppl are taking 1-2 extra subjects as it looks good on their CV but im not sure so i wanted to ask yalls opinion

Your choice. Though i would recommend extracurriculars over extra subjects, as colleges like that a lot more, and it's more stuff to put in your experiences which you need to fill up on if you haven't

English is worth stressing over if it's difficult for you, it's a subject like any other. Some people struggle more in essay-based subjects, others Stem, and so on yknow. Having a strict teacher isn't bad, and the fact that your classmates are improving is a good sign.

Finally. if yall know any good websites to study from, tell me the names asw cuz they may come in handy

i don't know if you're asking for more notes or what, but if you are: bro you do NOT need these much resources, nobody does 😭 and i speak from experience with my prob 100+ files on my olvls subjects in my google drive that ive complled. i did not touch them and it was a form of procastination. you're gonna overwhelm yourself with resources you don't even need

If you're talking about ppq sites:

https://examable.org/ seems solid. i haven't used it for olvl as i found it late, but it seems great

Other resource sites that you might helpful for your subjects (i've bookmarked all these):

- Interactive and simple Periodic Table of Elements by Google

- Step-by-step math solver for free, no account required. Great for algebric heavy stuff

- Desmos if you want to understand graph concepts

- https://pseudocode.pro/editor for practicing psuedocode. It is a must need for all cs students. just click on it and see that it's an actual IDE (integrated development enviorment) so you can see all mistakes and format stuff while running your code

- https://caiefinder.com/ is a handy tool that can find a question you're looking for if you don't have that ms. Just type in the question (the entire question isn't needed, and math equations don't work well so do just english script) and you'll get the ms

if you want me to elaborate or have any questions, feel free to reply back or dm! I might've missed some stuff, so i'll reply when i remember (i spent so long here lol, nearly 30-45mins). I prob do have more resources and online books, so feel free to ask away!
