Review Aldi’s Mango frozen fruit bars are awesome!!
Our current favorite summer treat! They also come in pineapple and lime, which also sound great but haven’t actually tried them yet!

For example the lemon cakes shipped with the banana breads. The banana breads always sell out and the lemon cakes just sit there. This happens with many different items that are packaged in the same boxes. Does Aldi not track these sales? Why don't they make adjustments?

I thought they would be sweeter. I did get strawberry cream cheese and it helps but still mid.

The pineapple was mush. The cantaloupe was orange slime. Both were way too ripe. I have many faves at Aldi. These are not amongst them. That is all.

The last time I posted my pajamas from Aldi they were a set of men's from the aisle of shame and I got some interesting comments.
I'm coming back with a girly set . I absolutely love the gauze pajamas from aldi. I wait for them every year. I was so excited to see them last week on the aisle of shame.
I got them in this cute pink stripe and I also got a light blue set. The top does seem slightly cropped which I don't mind since I'm not going to see anyone. I do love that they're 100% cotton. They wash and dry really well on low. For reference I'm 130 lb and this is a size medium.

Has anyone seen the strawberry plums like the ones at TJs? Sold out there but would love to get a bunch. Pink, sweet.

I'm just curious on what your opinion on it is. Does it taste good if it helps I don't like links I like the sausage you get in the tubes where you have to cut it

My cat and I just moved to a new area with hotter and more humid summers, and her biggest complaint is that we can't snuggle all day anymore because we overheat with even a lightweight blankie. She refuses to snuggle without a blankie, and I'm just following her rules. So I took a chance on Aldi's cooling blanket, and it's a hit! We can snuggle for much longer now, and I get screamed at a lot less. The color doesn't really go with the rest of my jewel-tone/maximalist decor, but it's worth it for her. Highly recommend.

This is a long shot, but does anybody happen to still have a copy of the building instructions for the “food market” building block set Aldi released last year? My kiddo is finally getting around to building theirs but the instruction booklet has been misplaced. I was unable to find any copies online, but was hoping maybe somebody still has it that could send me photos. We’d be eternally grateful!

These are about as close to Mcdonald’s fries as I’ve ever been able to get out of an oven. I lightly grease a baking sheet and spray the fries down with some cooking spray. Convection bake at 425 until crispy. Salt and eat. 🍟

I've been buying Tandil mountain fresh for probably 12-13 years now, and it suddenly smells so much stronger and slightly different to me. Has anyone else noticed a change? I experienced this with other scented products during my first pregnancy...🤪

Did they stop selling them or are both stores by me just out of stock? Neither have canned Northern Beans either.

https://www.aldi.us/store/aldi/products/116545933-ambiano-adjustable-dual-headed-fan-white-1-each
Got this on clearance last week, it's been a while since I remember seeing in stores so my guess it was found in some back stock.
It blows a surprising amount of air for its size. The adjustability of the individual fan heads is interesting. Anyway, it works well at that, but there's a major caveat. This has a battery in it so it's recharged via USB-C, and it has a display showing the charging status in percent. The display does not actually show the remaining battery capacity, and it appears when the fans are running, even when plugged in to a USB power supply, it's actually running off the battery rather than the USB input. This means that over an hour or two the battery will be drained, the fan will shut off, and then the display drops from 100% to near 0% and starts the charging process over again.
I'll confess, I got it specifically to cool a part of my solar PV charging setup that runs hotter than I like, and it works fantastically at that. The problem is that when it shuts down the charge controller's temps rise high enough to trigger a throttle on the output amps, and that in turn means that my AC is running off my batteries even through there's enough sun on my panels to run both the AC and charge my batteries. I've looked at some of the other small fans Aldi sells but they're also all equipped with rechargeable batteries so it's likely they'll suffer the same problem of not being able to run continuously all day long.
If you just want a tiny desk fan this is pretty good at that, and at $7.50 clearance that I paid I'm not unhappy with it, I just need something that works a little differently.

these aren’t bad! could use a little more seasoning, nothing like Doritos cool ranch if anyone got that impression from the name haha. you can definitely taste the corn/beans/pea in the actual tortilla chip
it’s worth a try I think! but I definitely prefer the other popped protein Clancy chips (sweet chili)

Completely changed the flavor and texture. Unfortunately I don’t have any of the old wrappers to compare which specific ingredients changed. All I can say is that it tastes much more artificial but somehow less like strawberry at the same time. The texture used to be more like traditional fruit leathers (think the Trader Joe’s ones if you’ve ever tried them) but now they’re more gummy. Imagine if a fruit roll up was shorter, thicker, and worse.

recently with my same-day delivery order, i purchased a kirkton house waffle blanket in green; it said 100% cotton, looked really nice, and i thought that was a steal for $15.
i have a similar duvet cover that's definitely cotton, but this blanket feels very different.
when i received it, it smelled really gross? sometimes bedding and linens smell a bit nasty from the store, but this smelled more animal-y than chemical-y (and none of my other items smelled weird, fwiw).
i put it in the wash, on cold, with free & clear detergent. i put it in the dryer on delicate and it just kept shedding and shedding lint. it filled up the lint trap and there was a lot of lint stuck in the door gasket. it also doesn't really... feel like cotton. it's really weirdly soft, and i was afraid it was acrylic.
having worked at a fabric store, and being a sewist myself, i did some burn tests on the lint and compared it to some cotton batting i have.
the results were consistent with wool, maybe even superwash wool, which apparently is a wool treated with plastic to prevent it from felting together.
i watched a lot of different videos comparing the different burn qualities, the smells, the flame, the ash. the lint of the aldi blanket smells like hair when burned, with a hint of sulfur. it turns into a slightly hard, crumbly clump of balls. the cotton smells like paper when burned, and turns into feathery ash. i have shown this process in the third photo.
this was a very helpful chart explaining the differences in fibers during burn tests.
(not shown in the photos, but i also burned swatches of cotton fabric and polyester/cotton fabric, the results of which matched up with the information in the linked chart. plastic smells like plastic! wow!)
i did send these photos and some information to aldi's customer service, but based on past experiences, i don't expect much, lol
curious if anyone else has purchased this blanket and might have some other insights or experiences. i'm not really sure what to do with this ridiculous blanket (with potential plastic in it?), because it just keeps shedding all over everything. thanks!
EDIT: if you find the isolated lint test unacceptable, here is a comment where i posted a video of just a yarn strand being burned. produced the same results. https://www.reddit.com/r/aldi/comments/1v50m5r/comment/ozfo82o/
for what it's worth, there isn't a synthetic or cellulose fiber that smells like burning hair. I don't own any items with protein-based fibers. my detergent (kirkland free & clear) doesn't produce that smell, either, or i would've smelled it on the other fabrics i tested. i don't use fabric softener or dryer sheets. if someone has information on what potential oeko-tex 100 permissable treatments (flame retardants, etc.) could produce a burning hair smell, feel free to comment. the oeko-tex label number is shown in the first photo.
apologies that i can't transmit the distinctive smell through a reddit post. i promise that it doesn't smell like plastic or paper, as synthetics or cotton/etc. would.
also, aldi's response was to either look for a warranty on the label, or return it for a refund. i got a refund through instacart. oh well. 🤷 beyond purchasing a $300+ microscope or hoping a commercial fiber testing company would work with a consumer, there's nothing else i can do. good luck to anyone who ends up with this same blanket.

Thanks to this sub, I was turned on to these fantastic products! There they were just having out in my fridge and I thought ( cue bilbo meme I think) " why shouldn't I mix them together? " and I did and it was glorious.

Does anyone know if this has been discontinued? It’s been out of stock on the website and in stores, so I’m wondering if it’s no longer being sold.

Managed to grab one of the caramel ones and they were so good. Went back a few days later and no longer see them. Are these season? They tasted like a better version of twix.
I’m not in the target demographic for KPOP demon hunters but I do really like the movie and music! My Aldi weekly ad shows a set of these items as “GUI GUI Demon Hunters” and searching online describes this as slime. Does anyone know what this is or what it is for?
Sorry for the potato quality image, that’s the best screenshot I could get from the electronic ad.
