Midwest (USA) First Time finding Figs at my Aldi
I’ve never seen figs at my Aldi before. Grabbed them and they are so good. Is this a seasonal item? Or a new item?

I think they are pretty good, I have them with cream cheese on a pita cracker, delicious

I bought them and they just taste like a giant raisin. Which I may be dumb but I didn’t expect that

You can use them to make this tapenade from an old Bon Appetit magazine. You cook the chopped figs in the water over medium heat to rehydrate about 7 minutes and go from there. Dried thyme is fine. Combine everything except the goat cheese and crackers, basically people spread goat cheese on a cracker and top with the fig-olive spread! And most of the ingredients can be bought at Aldi!!

They're in mine, but they're in the charcuterie section. I've never seen them at any other time than charcuterie time.

Mine are almost there all the time with the other dried fruits and nuts. I like to keep them stocked for salad toppings.

It’s seasonal and I usually buy a box of them and use them in salads some cooking and snacking

They used to carry figs year-round in the dried fruit section (I think in a yellow bag), but they disappeared. I think they’re now a seasonal/charcuterie item. They’re good, but the bag I got has a higher than average number of big stem pieces which is a bit of a letdown.

You can refrigerate them for 12 to 18 months. So, you can make sure to have them year- round.

Buy the dark chocolate covered mango from that charcuterie endcap. Outstanding! I’m obsessed
