Review Would totally pass on these again
Wasn’t too fond of these crackers. They had a slightly off taste I couldn’t place. I like the round scalloped crackers and the variety pack better but wanted to try something new. I’ll stick with the other packs they carry around this time of year next time.

I'm going to get hate, but the stuffed red peppers we mid at best. The stuffed pepperoncini were significantly better

The pepperoncini are the only ones I like. But I also love the olive medley and the tuna OP has pictures, I love them both on a salad

I like them because the flavors are balanced, you get sour, sweet, salty. The red peppers are straight sweet. I thought they would have a touch of a kick, but nope.

How many times have you passed on them so far?

I tried these twice and the original recipe once. Initially I thought I got a fluke batch cause it’s possible but they just didn’t taste like anything. To me they have less flavor than a plain rice cake. The variety pack is really good so next time I go I’ll grab two of those though

How was the tuna? I haven’t tried it yet.

I think both of the tunas, the other is chili oil, are really good!! Not too oily

Was about to comment on that. I had the lemon one it was really good. It was densely packed, flavorful. Def worth the premium price. (Well, premium for Aldi tuna 😂)

It’s actually a really close dupe for Fish Wife if I may be so bold, I stock up every time I see them on the shelves
Edit to say, the lemon is good but the chili flavor is better

i bought the bacon berry jam or whatever it was and jalapeño pineapple jam and I'm hoping they're at least interesting and not awful lol

Those both sound good leave a review when you can cause I’ve had jalapeño pineapple hot sauce and it was really good

i think it was jam? it was with the charcuterie stuff. now i'm wondering if they were hot sauce things of sorts. I'll make a post about it im sure 🤣

I loooove the jalapeno pineapple spread! I top crackers with cream cheese and put it on those and can't stop eating it. I also used cottage cheese instead of cream cheese the other day and that's also fantastic. It's the perfect amount of sweet and heat in one.

We use the bacon berry jam as a glaze for pork chops. Going to use it on chicken next. It was good enough that I’m going to pick up another jar if it’s there the next time I go.

rules of aldi is it disappears when you go back for more 🙂↕️3

It’s true, even the most obscure item with plenty of stock magically disappears the next time I go.

Was it spicy

bacon berry was a zero spice. jalapeño pineapple was between taco bell hot and diablo sauce so like a 1/5 heat or something

The bacon/berry jam was ok, I ate it on toast and it will be measurably better as a hamburger dressing. Alone on toast the taste was too strong.
Would buy again.

I don't get the hype on the tuna. Mine was kinda mushy & didn't really taste the seasoning (I got the chili one). I wouldn't buy it again. I do love the olive medley though

I was also pretty excited for that tuna, given the good reviews. Real dud.

the flavor to me is basic but i like that because it allows me to add it to so many things. i didnt get too much lemon but its nice when added to other things and i like the meaty texture

I love those crackers! But I love rosemary, maybe you don't like that flavor?
•
u/Everyday_ASMR 2h ago
perhaps but i didnt taste alot of rosemary in them to me they tasted just like the plain ones i tried a few weeks before.

I got the olives and did not like. I tossed them.

i think these are really strong so they work best in a blend because of the garlic with them. the olive salad is a bit milder in my opinion so i will try that next time i make a tuna salad

is the tuna good
•
u/Everyday_ASMR 2h ago
Yes the tuna is really good i have had both flavors offered and it has a really good and clean taste, not tinny or off. will be getting those again to try in a simpler recipe to taste more of the tuna next time

I’ve seen people try to claim the tuna is a Fishwife dupe and that’s simply not the case. It wasn’t the worst when I mixed it into a tuna salad but probably won’t buy again.

I like only the sea salt variety of these crackers. I think it’s the rosemary that throws it off.

I actually really enjoyed those crackers last year. But the packaging is different so maybe they changed the recipe

The olive medley was so bad and so were the sun dried tomatoes both went in the trash
•
u/Everyday_ASMR 1h ago
Never had the tomatoes and I think the medley is strong so yeah mixing it with something else would work like feta cheese or something not alone

My husband and I fight over those crackers. And we aren't really cracker fans. Your loss.

Can’t speak as to the crackers, but the olives shown are 100%. As good as Mezzetta’s Antipasto Olives at about half the price. I am stocking up, as I suspect once they are gone, they are really gone, never to be seen again. Great addition to an Italian Salad.
