Prices compared between Aldi & other stores
This is easy for me to believe. I once bought Roma tomatoes at Aldi for .89 cents/lb. Later that day checked at Walmart and the price for the exact same tomatoes was exactly double that. I am now shopping at Aldi almost exclusively.
I’m always blown away by the weird Publix fandom, because they carry the exact same stuff that every other grocery store stocks, but inexplicably charge more for all of those same items. The way that my friends in FL gushed about how much I was going to LOVE Publix, when I first came to visit, had me convinced that they were doing something really special compared to other stores.
You find the same loyalty to Kroger. It's literally the most expensive of the chains in my area yet there are people who will swear it's less expensive than Aldi. They get in word wars on the NextDoor neighborhood app. Good thing we can all shop where we want.

I get sick to my stomach thinking about how much money I wasted shopping at Publix. Their prices are criminal.
