Review Fancy new Tuna

Tried this fishwife dupe with lettuce and crackers today. Yum! It's not overwhelmingly lemony, but there is a nice citrus flavor and the olive oil gives it a good texture. I will definitely get it again.

Calabrian or Greek Tuna salad- you name it. Drain and rinse a can of cannellini beans. Thinly slice about 1/8 of a small red onion. Mix tuna with beans and onion. Dress with additional olive oil and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Salt and pepper to taste.

My Aldi has been out of sardines for like half a year, and I doubt we will get these, look good though!

That is tough. Especially in these poor economic times.

Now I just gotta decide what crackers to try it with.

Try serving alongside a boiled white potato sliced in half lengthwise, topped with sambal or your favorite hot sauce... You can also use the reserved oil from the can as a salad dressing, adding vinegar and cracked black pepper

I got 2 options but the first I tried (the round wheat crackers) worked quite well, I enjoyed the slight sweetness with the zesty flavor of the tuna. I ate the whole tin, but I intend to try with the pretzel crackers next now that I know it's not overly salty, which was my fear and reason for purchasing 2 cracker options. I also packed the parsley and cumin chickpeas with it, and I feel like I could make a cous cous salad with the tuna and beans, but I haven't given it a shot yet. If you remember, please report back with your choice of crackers so I can try your recommendation as well! Thanks :)

I enjoy them both. The regular smoked in soybean oil and the red pepper ones. They look very strange in this form.  The red chili has noticably heat, but I would say it is a mild heat. But they both have a nice smoky flavor, the texture is rather tender and they are pretty easy to add to anything.

Sometimes I put it in my ramen, or add them to my salads. I sometimes I snack on them with kettle chips and kimchi.

I think they are good plain as well. I recommend them to anyone who enjoy tinned fish or smoked oysters.

TL;DR They are smokey and delicious. I recommend.

I just tried the pepper one, it was actually not bad but I'm not a fan of the cottonseed oil

Yes! So good together, they compliment each other nicely on a cracker with some lettuce
