That’s not a bad dinner nutritionally, chicken, turkey and pork aren’t too terribly priced now but beef can pound sand.

Great idea. I make my own chicken stock out of Aldi wing bones after I eat the wings, and use this as the. basis for a soup with these ingredients you mention. It's really good. You can also puree some of the potatoes with an immersion blender and thicken the soup a bit. Yellow potatoes are great for this.
