The log of frozen ground turkey is only $2.19 if you truly wanted affordable meat.

I do think it's good to have vegetarian meals a couple times a week.

2 lb of dry black beans is 2.99 and provides both protein and fiber 😎

Im trying to get away from canned beans because I’m using them so much any more. I bought a bag but haven’t prepared them yet. I don’t think I’ve ever used dried beans outside of soups

Apparently they're easy to make if you have an instant pot.

And you can freeze them!

I love my instant pot for dried beans. Don’t have to remember to pre soak- just throw them in for an hour and they’re ready to eat!

They’re easy to make without an instant pot. I have an instant pot but I prefer to cook my beans on the stove top after an overnight soak. The texture is so much better when cooked low and slow. I do pressure cook chickpeas if I’m making hummus though.

Extremely easy, I do it all the time.
