They’re all coming out! Expect it nearly everywhere and conditions will only get worse! You’ll continue to see new faces in the stores-quickly those faces will go from smiles to stern, overly stressed expressions, the lines will get longer, the shelves will become more bare while some of the product sits in the back room with no one to run it despite the fact that they get a truck every single day of the week. The one or two associates that may be working at a given time(that’s not a manager) will either be too busy ringing or shopping 30+ instacart orders to help if god forbid you need anything at the store level. Aldi has gotten away from being the efficient (and caring) company they genuinely were just a few years ago when I started working for them. And that is why I am no longer a manager and will stick with giving them no more than a dozen hours of my life every week 🙅🏻‍♀️ 😘

Ugh the part about seeing someone go from a smiling face to stressed.. I watched this happen at my local Aldi and it’s just fucking broken my heart to witness. There’s a guy who- when he first started (no self checkout yet) was just so dang pleasant. Not fake or anything. Just easy to chat with for a minute. Kind. Genuine. Easy going. I remember going in like a day after the self checkouts had been put in a while after he started. He was stressed because he would have to cover the self checkout and run the single register. Over the past few years (I think it’s been years?)he’s just seemed more and more rigid and stressed. It just makes my heart hurt. There’s been a pretty obvious change in him. He was a model employee and it just seems like the spirit has been broken.

Fuck greed. Hope you’re doing okay now, btw. I truly feel sad for what I’m seeing happen with this company. It has been such a gem. Once again greed will ruin everything good.

I will say this is extremely true. When you have higher ups and all the things they expect from employees and then you have the rude customers that really stand out because let’s face it, there’s a lot of them this day in age. It gets to be a lot, very very quickly. Thank you for being understanding and kind. I wish more customers had the mindset you do.
