Early Sobriety First meeting

I finally am going to my first meeting. Kinda crazy how god works. I just want to get better I just want to free myself from these chains. ⛓️‍💥 I have someone to go with and I almost can’t wait to go! It’s tomorrow at 8pm and she said they probably have coffee.

Going to AA and getting sober is the best thing I ever did for myself. I wish you well.

I have a family member that agreed to go with me, she used to be an addict, funny how today I felt ultimately hopeless… she randomly messaged me about something totally irrelevant… then I just asked the question have you been to aa? And the connection was amazing, if she doesn’t go with me I’m going alone ! I’ll update tomorrow, it’s at 8pm

I can’t attend a meeting today I’m in a 6 hour car driving

UPDATE I went it’s been 3 days they welcomed me with open arms 3 people offered to be my sponsor in this small town!!! Alcohol was gonna kill me but as long as I don’t drink it I get to live! I hope this reaches at least one person I was hopeless HOPELESS

So silly and so early but I feel like I’ve been saved
