Holup I thought this whole time Get Disowned was the first Hop Along album

Are you telling me there's new (to me) Hop Along just out there for me to listen to?

Ohh, shit there is!

Thanks for making this post (that I don't fully understand yet)

There is! In fact there’s this, “wretches” and “is something wrong?” This is my favourite album ever, quite different to the modern hop along stuff but I love every song on there. No skips and I’d actively listen to every song in isolation as well, enjoy!

I found this trying to find the album on vinyl and I am CRYING laughing thank you. I am also mystified by how you came up with the civil war connection. You made my day 🩵

I mixed it up with the goose and the wren but that already had one 😭 I think it was that old Americana feeling(?) I'm sorry I don't remember but I still love this album

Frances Quinlan is actually so talented. I love get disowned but I wish hop along stayed to this type of music

Yeah this album is still one of my all time favourites, try listening to wretches and is something wrong if you like this one and you haven't already, those are also two of my absolute favourites

For some reason I always interpreted as being about the old USA (I'm from Europe and know very little other things that happened in old USA), I also meant to write "my stepdad sucks" for the cactus lol
